Yes you do cry but when it comes to Semi-auto weapons all you need is a few extra $$

Not that I've tried it before undecided But that's what I was told by a man working at that store when I tried to buy an R4

I was speaking to my cousin about the air lift capacity and whether we were going to look at C-27j Spartan and he told me that the airforce is testing a Russian made medium transport aircraft...And the J-10/Gripen story has been around for a while...my guess is that they're just looking for funding...As for the Navy...Well nobody cares about the Navy in this country undecided

I still don't see the government buying planes from the 'west' [unless its VIP planes grin] perhaps times have changed..The navy has 'enjoyed' purchases for the last 6 years..its the army that's abandoned it seems

I would say it's the army that has been catered for over the years...
Purchasing of small arms
The new Shipment of Ural Trucks
The Agrale Marruas
The New Wolf MK111
The Kornets shocked
And they're finalizing the VT-4 Deal smiley
All these took place in the last two years

Can't stop obsessing over the Marine Digital Cammo shocked

The MK111 is still undergoing tests right isn't it?

How many casspirs, wolf turbos,Werwolfs MK11's are in service??

Have the casspirs and wolf turbos been 'refurbished'?

Have the kornets been bought in 'significant' numbers? and they are meant for the 'Anti tank' Regiment right?

Are there plans to replace that Artillery from 1937 we are still operating?

Any plans for some sort of Air defence system??

Yeah the cammo is great but will it work in the Namib desert?? grin grin

MK111 is on the assembly line grin
About 20 Casspirs left(There's a plan to put them in use with Law Enforcement)
Same with the Wolf Turbo
The Kornets haven't been unboxed yet undecided I have a feeling they're going to mount a few on some "Bakkies"
No plans for Air defense and the replacement of Artillery systems yet cry

Lol

Gripens are good fighters but definitely not as good as SU-30 Russians are crazy when it comes to rockets and jets. I can compare Gripen with J-10 or maybe F-16 but not Rafael, typhoon, su-30 or F-18.

Well yes

It is more logical to compare a single enginge multi-role to other single engine multi-role

But the fact that it can be compared in debate to twin engine air-superiority and strike fighters says allot about how good the Grip is

O, here is the link:

Major General Barney Hlatshwayo, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) the Joint Operations Division’s Joint Operational Headquarters says reports that the South African National Defence Force has lost equipment, weapons and ammunition on missions and that some of this had fallen in the hands of insurgents were wrong.
"Allegations that we lost equipment, weapons and ammunition and that this fell into rebel hands are not true," he told a media briefing Friday

"it is not true that our weapons were lost and in the hands of the rebels."

South African Minister for defence CONFIRMED SANDF LOST WEAPONS IN BURUNDI and who has them if not rebels, is it in the hands of school children?

"Minister of Defence Mosiuoa Lekota, who has admitted that addressing the logistics crisis in the department was one of its main challenges, last month revealed to parliament that the following pieces of weaponry "have both been lost and stolen on peace support missions":

47,680 x 5.56mm rifle rounds
1,800 x 7.62mm rifle rounds
97 x 60mm mortar bombs
46 x 5.56 mm R-4 rifles
Three light machine-guns, two 9mm pistols, two grenades and four R-4 magazines. "

SANDF armoury was being looted in Burundi, you failed there. So AU should get competent army Generals from Angola, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Zimbabwe this time around.

Want to know why it is calleda AWAC killer. Because it would struggle to hit any thing else. It is unable to target any thing beyond 40km. It is big and not agil and it is not even built.

Funny how the topic changed from 'Gripen is better than

the su-30'
to 'Gripen is as good as the su-30' grin grin grin

In a dog fight the gripen holds a edge in strike missions the SU30 is better as a aircraft for your air force the gripen out classes the SU30 by being cheaper, faster and easier to maintain.

Cheaper? Really?

It is quite sloppy to say the Gripen is better than the su-30 ..vice versa too

"lost",means many things

My source is from 2009 and was made after the army had finished investigations into the matter - and they found that no weapons were lost or missing

In future, please:
1. Leave the anti-rsa rhetoric in the other thread
2. Read the sources I post
