justwise:

Very interesting....so basically as long as black kill other blacks for non-racial intent its all good then? No protest needed, wasted lives matters nothing.

When Drug kingpin A kills Drug dealer B, kindly tell me who you're going to report / protest to...

Do a comparative analysis of blacks that kill other blacks, they are 99% folks prone to crime & criminalities.

Are you going to compare that to Zimmerman gunning down Trayvon like a dog on the basis of " He looks suspicious", Justy , you can't compare the two.

I don't see the logic. ...
Pls elaborate.

Abeg, how do u chamge naira to dha directly,
nefertitiram:

I think you will lose more due to cross exchange... reason why I never buy dollars when going to dubai, but dirhams directly, cos u lose twice, once when buying dollars and again when changing from dollars to dirhams. my two cents though. But do the maths before embarking on such a venture.

Merry Xmas people...

Just thought to share more details on the credit card thingy. As favored gal mentioned, Stanbic now has limits on debit card but none on credit card, same with diamond bank.

I have used a Stanbic credit card for close to 5yrs now and in my view, you can use it exactly the way you use your debit card.

Your credit card limit will usually be assigned based on collateral value or periodic income. The good thing about the card is that that limit is just the maximum overdrawn limit.... Meaning, that's the amount you can spend when you don't have money but there is no limit on the credit balance you can keep there.

So what I basically do is transfer money from my current account to the card account and spend as required. No interest, no charges.

So if you have collateral, no matter how small, or some income, go for the card. It just gives you the avenue to bypass the limits on the debit card.

Good morning dear. Are they already one? By now, they ought to have started eating staple food by now. My babies are now on Similac Advance and we are 5 months plus. I will stop as soon as we start eating staple food well.

I doubt, it's not as easy and straight forward to get one, kinda like getting a loan.

If it's secured by your salary you will need to move your Salary acc to the said bank, get hr to sign forms, etc.

that's why there are few in circulation compared to debit cards

Yes, especially because you have to drop 150% of the limit as collateral before you are issued one. It's quite easy but not accessible like that

I get you well, know how it works, you didn't get me, as long as the settlement will be in FX, and it has gotten on NL, it will be matter of a few short weeks...

Seems a lot of monitoring is going on, someway aomehow... Like Cash back got stopped despite it being within the POS limit..

Actually, it doesn't work outside Nigeria (atleast that from Diamond).

What we did was pay 3 Million into your account & get a CC of $10,000 the difference from the 3 Million will be like a collateral/holding charge.

But all in all it's useless as you can only spend it in Nigeria, so I didn't really see the point.

The ONLY option, am afraid to say for now is "Black Market" unfortunately.

My mum tried money gram on Thursday and she was able to send $950 X 2, (409,500) @ Skye or one of the banks starting with "S", am sorry am not so conversant with Nigerian banks, but if we had our way we wanted to send say $9,800 or more, she took everyone available with her to the bank but they said they could do Just (2).

So the search continues on Tuesday. It's a very difficult situation right now for forex in Naija..

cry

Until our oil climbs above 60$ or we find something else to lay all or share the national burdens, we are nowhere near the end of the Forex crises.. it is one of those things that the cause is CLEAR as day.

Babe, You are catching the paranoia from that other thread smiley grin

Cash back was understandable, you guys were cheating the banks of the charges, but if I'm not wrong it's only Gtbank that stopped cuz I have done cash back twice in this 3 wks Iv been here
