Rayhut: Bro, long time... Please, I misplaced the number you used in calling me that day I told you I was on a Bus from Hamburg going back to my end. I promised to get back to you but somehow I misplaced the number. Try calling me so I could get your number back. Its been a while... How has it been so far? Happy Xmas in arrears. |

Good day mein Damen und herren (ladies and gentlemen) I sincerely appreciate the effort of all those that have contributed to the success of this thread. I have read and gained a lot. I graduated with a very high CGPA ( above 4.6/ 5.0) I am interested in studying an engineering course in Germany perhaps civil or mechanical (undergraduate).English taught. Although I have A2 international exam Zertifikat from Goethe Can any one suggest a way That can help me with my plight. Will appreciate a constructive response plssss. Haben sie eine schöne Tag. |

mikky4all: You have A2 Congrats! Head up to DAAD.de and check if you'll find programs you like. As you're already a graduate, you won't be needing Studienkolleg. Schönen Tag |

Williamso:Thanks bro. I have search daad.de times without number but haven't got any school with civil engineering "english". Also I don't think daad I a representation of all schools in Germany. That was why I needed to ask the guru's that are more exposed for a specific uni suggestion. Also has anyone tried applying with daad application form instead of going through uni-assist. Response will be highly appreciated |

The fact that you didn’t respond to his post does not mean another person wouldn’t. At least Babanila has tried his best to respond. When we tell people to read from page one to page three hundred and something before they can decipher an answer to a simple question, we’re not being fair on them. At least we should endeavour to answer their immediate questions first (If we can) and then advise them to read up on previous posts for them to fully understand the process. No be “When you are really ready read this thread because all the info is here”. That kind of response would make anyone feel stupid. Although I know that’s not your intention. justwise: |

Brotherly, welcome on board... Yea they accept WAEC as one of the requirements for your application. Try and use daad.de or study-in.de you should get something... But my advice is don't be rigid with choosing your course and school. Germany has lots of good schools and nice courses.... Hope you know you will need a sponsor or open dB account and fund it before you get visa..... Get a school and desired course, look for their requirements, gather your documents, their deadline and start firing in.... After you have secured admission, then you move to the next level... Buh the truth still remains you take time to read previous thread... All the bosses don discuss dis. . Hope you find this helpful tho.... Salute to all the Oga bosses castrol180: 1 Like |

Interessant .... It's nice you have first class buh you will still have to go through the same procedure... Get your preferred school and course from daad.de or study-in.de.... You should see lots of English taught courses in your preferred field. Apply and secure admission. . After that you move to the next level.... Note: Your final grade and learning German upto B2 is an added advantage to you. Take time to read previous thread brotherly... You no go regret am. . mikky4all: 1 Like |

mikky4all:I think u can get Enviromental ENG MSc with ur 1st degree, plus with the high CGPA u can possibly get a DAAD scholarship. Just take ur time nd research properly. Modified: Why do you want to study Civil Engineering? In my opinion Civil Engineering thrives in a country that is still developing, and I believe the Germans are already developed and I dont mean to be rude but "Wetin dem wan build again"? You want to re-course your Career, please do something that would give you a job easily in the end. And I don't think that will be civil engineering. My advice: IT, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics in no specifically defined order. Oh, I forgot the good'ol Chemical engineering "the Father of Engineering", and yes the Biggest 2 Chemical Companies in the world used to be German-owned. PS: There's a reason why IT is emboldened. |

ogagaejay: Instead of eating the humble pie and accept that you made an error, you are trying to deflect and make an illogical demand based on a wrong premise. For the dumb sake of argument, you are asking me to highlight a portion of YOUR OWN post, thereby indirectly denying you ever made such a post? Right? Clap for yourself and repost your initial comment for all to read. As for my intelligence level, I am sorry to burst your bubble, the Russians don't allow idiots to study or graduate from Gubkin University! Next time, before you question the IQ of a person in a public forum, which goes against the grain of social etiquette, I will advice you to take a Mensa IQ test if your score will be higher than the figure on a Depay shirt! Adexhat: @All, pls can someone advice on what to do in this case as embassy is yet to respond? I'm thinking of requesting enrollment extension but the question is where would I present it? Should i requesst for it before 6th and send it to embassy or what should be done to it? Please I need a response asap. Danke. Cc: justwise, eke40seven, obiwann, rayhut, williamso e.t.c. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Hampy: 4:03pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
Since you have already replied them with clarifications on your resumption date, I think all will be well. They should reply you with the a.m email before 6th of Jan. However, you can still contact your school and let them know what’s going on. Perhaps request for an enrolment extension just in case. Goodluck Adexhat: |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Williamso(m): 4:05pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
Adexhat:Hallo! I think the embassy website will be quite reliable for information about Christmas breaks and the likes, maybe you should check it out. When you say enrollment date, I would assume you mean "enrollment deadline". If that's the case, for which semester How do you know the Alien office has already sent the approval? (I have been in this particular situation, but you have to be SURE, no assumptions). If you reply with no response, reply to all the emails you have and GIVE THEM A CALL TO TELL YOU YOUR STATUS AND IF ALL IS GOING WELL (This is what I did). MAKE THAT CALL BEFORE YOU ASK FOR ANY EXTENSION DEADLINE! And don't ask me for their number, get it from their site Viel Glück! The above post is my opinion and mine alone which may or may not be universally correct and/or accepted |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Adexhat(m): 4:40pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
@Hampy & Williamso, vielen danke für you prompt response. Like I said earlier on, my department is fully aware & has been sending several emails to the embassy clarifying enrollment issue & requesting for quick issuance of the visa. They've also called the embassy as well, i have been in copy of their corresponce. The woman in charge at the Alien office personally sent me an email to confirm to me she's sent approval to the embassy, that's since 2weeks ago. She was able to do that after my department & I put several calls to her & also sent account confirmation to her. As mentioned by williamso, i will call embassy tomorrow again to request status but the challenge is that anytime i call i'm always asked to send email which they've not been replying!! I will appreciate if anyone can provide the visa extension so that o can dial it when i call the general line. As for the extension, at what stage will i need to present it and to who? When should it be presented in case the embassy delayed? NB: I'm going in for summer 2016 program but programs start in January with language courses & foundation classes which will run from January to March ending before the main. Danke. |

You could be lucky go gain admission to some engineering courses with a well written motivation letter, good IELTS score, well detailed CV and work experience. I know of someone who gained admission to an engineering course with 2.80 with an IELTS score of 6.5 and a well written statement of purpose. 4lashyme: |
