Arms Deal Or No Arms Deal: Did Buhari Buy The Arms The Army Is Currently Using? by smuthy101: 2:20pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
Today we hear arms were purchased by the past administration to fight boko haram, Tomorrow the story changed that Jonathan never bought any arms. The question every sensible Nigerian should ask this administration is that if they claim no arms were bought then where did the army get the arms they are currently using to fight boko haram? did President Buhari purchase any arms in the past 7 months of his administration? Abeg who is fooling who? The greatest atrosity is for a leader to play politics with the lives of the helpless citizens. It is just so sad that the youths of the country that is supposed to take their future in their hands are busy taking selfies and posting trash on social media. 16 Likes 3 Shares |

I have not seen any were a government is probing security vote. Is security vote meet for accountability? Is it not this security vote that Governors use in over powering their opposition parties in the world politics? why is this diffrent, then i will believe that those in charge don't understand what is called Democracy. The arms Buhari use in fighting boko harams are the arms APC bought to fight PDP if GEJ did not accept defeat inthe elections period. If not so APC should tell Nigerians were and which budget or suplimenetary budget they use in purchasing the arms Nigerians army are using right now. smuthy101: 5 Likes 1 Share |

I have been asking this question for a very long time. What has changed since Buhari came to power? Absolutely nothing! same 300billion naira for utensils and he is not complaining now he has his own budget the allowance for feeding has even increased. He has reduced his convoy but has increased travelling abroad. Our presidential fleet is no longer too large, yes becos he is Baba gaskia. The media is also keeping shut I don tire sef. 8 Likes 1 Share |

‘We bought sophisticated weapons but they haven’t arrived yet,’ Ex-NSA says 'Jola Sotubo | 17:51 | 06.08.2015 » more Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki (Daily Trust) Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki has said that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan ordered some weapons to fight terrorism during his tenure but they haven’t arrived in the country yet. Dasuki also said that some elements are frustrating Nigeria’s efforts to get the needed equipment to fight Boko Haram. The former NSA reportedly made the comments during an interview with PR Nigeria, an agency which consults for the Nigerian military and security agencies. Dasuki said: “The armoured tanks have comprehensive NBC protection system, just as we deployed Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles that we bought and could withstand improvised explosive device (IED) attacks and ambushes. The vehicles had protected our troops from the land mine threats.” “We are glad that we also provided assorted Armoured Personnel Carriers to transport troops to the battlefield. They are armed for self-defence and to provide protection from attacks from shrapnel and small arms fire.” “We utilised some of these equipment to recover more than 22 local governments under Boko Haram terrorists and ensured that Shekau did not disrupt the 2015 election as he had threatened. Not only did we ensure that the elections were peaceful, Shekau has never spoken to threaten anyone again since then.” “All these were acquired in the last one year after years of frustration by Western powers who denied us of the equipment and sabotage our efforts to acquire same from other sources which are reasons for some delay in delivery.” “It was unfortunate that some elements are frustrating the efforts as we even had to query some suppliers for delay in delivery of arms and ammunitions.” “It is unfortunate that some elements hide under the cover of anonymity in the media to rubbish some of the sacrifices we made. They should the take the courage to come out publicly by identifying themselves with their baseless allegations. ” » more Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki (The Nation) Dasuki's Sokoto and Abuja homes were recently invaded by the Department of State Service after he was accused of misappropriating defence funds. http://pulse.ng/local/dasuki-we-bought-sophisticated-weapons-but-they-haven-t-arrived-yet-ex-nsa-says-id4048632.html 1 Like |

Fo0ls are abounds everywhere! When the president said there are no weapons does it mean there are absolutely no weapons at all? I guess it was banga knockout the NA has been using on their various missions outside the country. Let's not even remind ourselves of the tragedy of the Ikeja cantonment blast during OBJ regime. Were those explosions caused by bisco bangas too? When people say their is youth unemployment, does it mean their no youth at all that is gainfully employed? Or will you call anyone that makes that statement a liar? But in 2015, with the sophistication of terrorism and external threats, it is safe to say Nigeria does not have weapons. AND for God's sake is it only about weapons? What about logistics? How come BH was able to kill boys in their school at night without even the slightest of responses from the army? How come girls were abducted (in lorries I believe) without even a chase from the army? How come Nigeria army was disgracefully chased by BH to Cameroon? Our fears are just keep getting confirmed that PDP is brain dead and is not capable of putting APC on its toes with intelligent criticism/opposition. 1 Like |
