It is a known fact that feeding accounts for about 70 percent of the cost of producing poultry birds especially broilers. Feed brands such as Topfeeds, Vital, Hybrid etc. cost about 2600 naira per 25 kg bag. In order to reduce the cost of feeding in poultry, the alternatives are either buying concentrates and mixing with maize and wheat offal or feed formulation. Experts in the house please share your knowledge about how to reduce the cost of feeding through feed formulation. Lets make ourselves better poultry farmers. Thank you.

The compounded feed issaid to contain CP 16.79 CF 4.13, Calcium 2.61 MET ENER 2,811etc for #4,625 naira. The commercial feed equivalent (topfeeds) is #7,280 naira

It depends on the source of soya bean meal, its better you include GNC.

It depends on the source of the SBM, it's better you include GNC.

plz can the same feed formula be used for both chicken and turkey if not, what's d effect of using chicken formula 4 turkey

Soya bean processing is done in 2 way

By soaking the soya bean and by frying
Each method is meant to same result and that is
to destroy the anti nutritional content residents at
outer coat of the soya beans seed
By soaking the outer coat becomes soft making it
easier to remove. Through frying the heat destroy
the anti nutritional element at the outer coat
Seeds obtained from each process is referred to
as full fat soya (FFS) because in each method oil
is not removed from the soya seed. The cp is
usually 40%cp
