I actually saw it and though it's possible, I think it's a rumor. Once these players turn pros, the decision to sell them doesn't depend on the club management alone anymore, they have a say too. Many of them are in a hurry to play

true.i feel angry that our academy product our sold.will let thiago go that was painful enough.now we cant even allow our young stars develop,we build this dynasty of succes with our la masia product but it is now fading

We've conquered Europe twice with the pique/mascherano CB pairing and they're playing the exact same way, it's about form, they're not too old. Although I agree we have to replace old legs, it's only matthieu and maybe Vermaelen I'd want us to replace, the rest are still doing very well for me. English players don't really do well in Spain btw so I just don't buy the idea of stones, not that he's bad, just their orientation. I'd go for Laporte though, he's spanish and knows la liga very well. I actually thought we were gonna get him last season cos we were strongly linked with him

But, my concern is, many of the B team have had one or two chances of playing with the 1st team while their promising captain has never been given any. I think a buy back clause should have been included in the deal to make it easier in case we still need him in the future.
By the way, we have not seen Dongou this season. The guy reminds me of a young Eto when ever he plays.

Maybe Lucho doesn't truly like Grimaldo, maybe. The most important thing should be that he gains experience, I don't know if there was any buy back clause in his transfer deal but we can still get him back nonetheless.
Now that you talk of Dongou, I just remembered the few stints he had under Tata Martino, showed promise then but was still not ready. He's still 20 years and I guess he's doing well in the B-team

Camara, Samper, Gumbau, Aitor, Kaptoum et al. Now tell me what went wrong with Grimaldo that he didn't invite him. Even if he did that should be once, last season.

Of course not everyone will become first team players. But does that mean we should allow our best players to leave just like that?

Imagine selling Deulofeu , loaning/selling Denis amongst others, and yet leaving behind Munir and Sandro. Tell me frankly that you wouldn't wish to swap Deulofeu with any of Munir/Sandro. This is what we are talking about. Selling the best among the rest and leaving chaffs behind.

I'd rather Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez than Marcos Alonso,easily top 7 LB in the world,besides he is a Barcelona fan.I'm just not sure if he would agree to be alba's back up.

Are we not overhyping Grimaldo now.Lucho wanted him to go on loan to, I think Levante, but he rejected it and chose another LaLiga club,Rayo,I think,at the end of the day,deal didnt go through.Lucho was vexed was going to punish him,Grim didnt care and got fed up.If u ask me,the board were smart on this,€1.5m is cheap bt not bad,Benfica just had to wait till june and he was going to b free.Wish the club had activated the extra year option.There was no way Benfica were going to be stupid enough to accept a buy back.By the way a replacement from Sevilla B came in yesterday.

Grimaldo cannot be expected to wait for him to retire so he could get his chance. Besides, these crop of graduates from La Masia are disappointingly average. Deulofeu allowed himself to get carried away by hype. He has no quality nor patience to play at Barca just yet. If one didn't have enough quality, they should compensate with patience. With time, there time at first team will come. Sergi Roberto should be an example to them all. Neither Grimaldo nor Deulofeu had the patience to wait. The club is right to sell them.

I wonder o! People are expecting Enrique to keep turning water into wine as though he's a magician. Grimaldo can go if he didn't want to wait or go on loan. Left back position can never be a problem at a club like Barca. If need be, we can always buy.

The club didnt do good business,they had the right to activate an extra year,thereby selling him for a higher price -adama for e.g was sold for €12m with a buy back clause,cause he still had a long contract-.I geuss Enrique and the board just wanted him out.Agree on the average part.
