The Arabic word used there is MAHDA which means a resting place, not that the the translator was wrong, a bed can also be used for resting, right? that was why the translator didn't say the earth has a shape of a bed, but he said "who has made the earth as a bed" I hope you can spot the difference, now the Arabic word for bed is SARIRUN, clearly SARIRUN wasn't used in that verse, so that verse does not mean what you want us to believe.

Now here is the truth, where the earth was called geospherical in the Quran.

Allah said "wal Arda ba'da zhaalika dahaha" meaning "and thereafter the earth was made egg-shaped" , the Arabic word translated to egg-shaped there is DAHAHA , DAHAHA was derived from the Arabic word duhiya, duhiya is the Arabic word for the egg of an ostrich, why didn't Allah use BAIDATUN which is the arabic word for the normal chicken egg, why duhiya the egg of an ostrich? the earth is not round nor is it a perfect sphere but it is Geo-spherical in shape, if you see the egg of an ostrich it is also in that shape.

1-Genesis 1:1
The earth is created before light and stars, birds and
whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants
before any animals. From science, we know that the true
order of events was just the opposite.

2- Plants are made on the third day (Genesis 1:11) before
there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes
(Genesis 1:14-19)

3-And to every beast of the earth, and every fowl of
the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth
wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for
meat: and it was so” (Genesis 1:30)

4- God curses the serpent, making him crawl on his
belly and eat dust (Genesis 3:14). One wonders how he got around before

5-Some birds have four feet (Leviticus 11:20-21).

6- Bats are birds to the biblical God (Leviticus 11:13-19
& Deuteronomy 14:11-18).

there is no such sahib hadith,as for the the Quran It doesn't need any explanation and I've already shown in my previous post,it even says it from dhul'kharnain's perspective 'he found it' and it has never been used by any Muslim scholar in a scientific sense even those living more than a thousand years ago;

In Tafsir Jalalayn co-authored by al-Suyuti (d. 911 A.H.) and al-Mahalli (d. 864 A.H.), we find the following words;
“… its setting in a spring is [described as seen] from the perspective of the eye.”
Before them Ibn Kathir (d. 774 A.H.) wrote
“… he saw the sun as if it were setting in the ocean. This is something which everyone who goes to the coast can see: it looks as if the sun is setting into the sea but in fact it never leaves its path in which it is fixed.”
And even before him Nasiruddin al-Baydhawi (d. 691 A.H.) said
“Perhaps he reached shore of an ocean and saw it like that as there was nothing in his sight except water and for this reason it is said, “and he perceived it to set”, and not that it actually sets.” (Anwar al-Tanzil wa Asrar al-Tawil 4/14)
Muslims right from Muhammads(SAW) have never intepreted that verse like you say.as you can see above,the earliest Islamic Tasfirs that were written more a thousand years ago never knew it as such before you say all these are concoctions of modern apologists.
