In simple english, he said he dosent think they have ties, however read the thread and foorm ur own conclusion and advice them.

@kessel (new year LadyG. Speaking now) dont take it out on cozybunch. We all have problems BUT it is not an excuse to do the wrong thing.
Lemme break down their advice for u.
1. U stand a VERY good chance of getting an F1 visa (as well as a canadian visa)
2. U need to research well . We are not the ones that will do the hard work for u. After that, ask informed questions on the appros thread.
3. It will take time but its worth it. Going by corner corner can lead to snags. (Read above the story of the guy just denied entry)
4. (This is me now) u possibly don't think its ok for people to give u advice on illegalities
I wish say na nursing I study sef! I for be hot cake in canada, us, australia. Tap the resource u have. Don't be misled

Azzzzin! Kessel doesn't know what he has! Just to do correct research, write the exam from anywhere, pass, get the right visa and just port! Nurses are like hot cake!

Good Morning Sir/Ma,
Please I have a question, had submitted my family ds 160 forms but just discovered that our middle name appears first on DS 160 Confirmation page instead of first name as it appears on Int'l Passport. For example DANJUMA GARBA SHEU Instead of DANJUMA SHEU GARBA on the passport. But we had corrected it on the profile and receipt but we have not pick a date for the interview. Please what can we do now? Fill another Ds 160 form or send a mail? please what is the best solution. Thanks

If you have not schedule an appointment, then you can fill and submit anther DS-160. No troubles with that.

Hello everyone, please help, I was granted visa on the 15th of December in Lagos but still haven't gotten my passport back. Passport status says 'There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.' what do I do, it's more than 2 weeks now.

Hope there's no space between the alphabet and figures. Eg A0545884 not A 0845884 ...you can also send them an email. Support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com stating your passport number and your issues.

Yes,my intention is to migrate, the thing is that am at a fixed right now which I can not really discuss here. I already checked the process and it appears to be a very lengthy one and money is involved too and it's going to keep me at home longer which is what am trying to prevent as my dad is already reminding me that I need to move out and start life.. Amongst other things.
Am just looking for an alternative other than going to Ghana to write the exam and them send cv and wait for another God knows how long.
As for my stay and convation of the visa, someone in Maryland told me if am able to crossover, the convention can be achieved. Above all, I just want to move out of the house.

Guys am so so sorry, I typed the above post worn out, hence some mistakes. After I have recieved much bashing I decided to go back to my posts to know what I did wrong and I found out I omitted some sentence which was supposed to throw more light on my intention so I was totally misunderstood.

I meant that I would migrate but definitely it can't be with b1/b2 visa, having gone through the thread from part 1,i know the implications of refusing to return when am supposed to. Thanks y'all for the correction.

I will be patient enough to reiterate what I previously wrote because I wish I was a nurse too, and this is what I would do.

Forget all this writing exam or not writing exam, you just want to go to US, which is fine, with the ultimate aim of migrating, which is also fine. Don't get ur motives twisted so you don't deceive yourself.

You can write the exam in Ghana, kafanchan, Ekpoma, wherever, as long as you pass, which is most important.

Armed with your qualification, you can send your CV to recruitment agencies in US that recruit nurses eg:

http://m.shusterman.com/recruitmentfirms/

https://www.discovernursing.com/steps-for-foreign-educated-nurses

Infact when you finish reading the 2nd link, you will be less confused on what to do and successfully immigrate within 6 months to 1 year.

My advice: keep your money, write the necessary exams including TOEFL, get the US job, get a petitioner and immigrate. Save the money you want to use to visit US towards your settlement after getting the job. Shikena.

Lady G, I don vex o! Make we go back to nursing school? Na only 3 years o!

Hello everyone, please I would like to know ur input on this issue... I made payment of visa fee in Nov, and wanted to schedule an appointment this morning after taking time to go through posts on this thread only to realise that the next available date is Feb 1. Now the issue is passport expires in June which is already below six months validity, my question now is do I still go ahead and schedule an appointment? Secondly if I do a passport renewal the visa receipt already carries the old passport number.. How do I go about it please..? Awaiting your prompt responses.. Thanks in anticipation..

The issue is that he's made payment with the old passport no and its in the print out/reciept.
Whether its possible to renew and carry along but fill d ds 160 with the old one I don't know as old passports need to be cancelled.Or check with the bank if they can transfer payment to another nos.
@jbelos send an email to the embassy sharply and let's know ow it turns out

proceed to. Book an appointment with the Old passport number. You can renew your passport before the appt date. Note that the new passport will contain both old and new passport number. Send a mail to the embassy for necessary modifications (old and new details scanned). This might take two weeks or more to rectify. You can then attend the interview with both passports. I'm sure it's not a major issue, cos I tried this and it worked for me. Best of luck

If you go back to the US and the school gives u admission and i-20, the school will help u to adjust your status to f1 visa, And I think this is very legal. I read it somewhere on this forum

Sunny no body will tell you outcomes of visa interview. Remember, the burden of getting a tourist visa soly is on you not on your ties with your wife.

You should concentrate on your ties in your country such as good paying job you aforementioned, and other ties, not your ties to your wife. That comes in place when she is petitioning for a migrant visa on your behalf

Good Luck

Hello, Happy New Year to U all!

I need some guidance on:
A 20yrs old girl who wants to travel for tourist and vacation to the USA. When asked why she is traveling to the usa alone what do you advise should be her answer?

Her Father is sponsoring for her trip.
Will they require any form of documentation of the father from the girl?

Will really appreciate a good answer, Thanks!
