https://www.nairaland.com/2557850/travelling-canada-part-9 The appropriate thread is hyperlinked above. With a very well packaged application, the answer to your questions is a strong yes @ admission & funding. Just make sure you apply to at least four schools with excellent SOPs and excellent recommendation letters. If these docs are not excellent, your chances go down considerably. Also view the post here: https://www.nairaland.com/2557850/travelling-canada-part-9/224#41342550 And this one too: https://www.nairaland.com/2367106/travelling-canada-part-8/28#34729512 Read and follow this particular hyperlink like your life depends on it, in which case you will likely secure funding. emirate0: 4 Likes 1 Share |

I want to study medicine in Canada, how do I go about it,how many years and how much is the tuition fees and other fees? |
Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by ifegy: 5:50am On Dec 29, 2015 |
kayswag726: You have to do pre-med, i.e., graduate as an undergraduate with a Bachelor's degree (and very good GPA) and then take the MCAT (standardized admission exam for all applicants) and then apply to medical school. Quite expensive and competitive. Medical schools in Canada: http://www.royalcollege.ca/portal/page/portal/rc/resources/schools Tuition as at last year: http://www.oxfordseminars.ca/MCAT/mcat_profiles.php Need to check each school as to whether foreign students are admitted. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by Nobody: 6:14pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
emirate0:That's a very good GPA. I think you should look at university of British columbia they run a parallel program with mastercard scholarship. Apply to the best schools though also try the USA, with your GPA getting a scholarship into the best engineering schools will be a walk in the park. 1 Like |

kayswag726:... There is nothing like undergrad medicine in Canada...U have to go in for other science programs first... @ifegy gave u the best answer... U can go to the Carribean for the straight Med... and at the end u will write same final exams as those in US and Canada ... u can even do ur residency in US or Canada... 2 Likes |

Osehon22:Hi Osehon, you've quoted the wrong person. You should be quoting paparazzi1987, so he would see your mention and reply you accordingly. I think you and him getting a place together would be a good idea and since you're both new you can help each other. Good luck with everything and welcome to Canada. |
