I murdered data in 2015, still having what will take me to Jan 2016. Didn't pay a dime for data in 2015. Some individuals in my whatsapp group made up to N1 million from free data with the exception of Glo network.

8,000 a month for home wifi, that's 96k. Then 2,500 monthly on my Mtn, that's 30k. And then another 6k spent on etisalat PAYG when I needed to download some really big files (about 135gb). My internet is my life, can't do without it. Plus I'm a heavy data user, and I hate slow internet. I stream seamlessly on YouTube constantly, sometimes for hours.

Now that's how to use the Internet. It's simple, buy data and enjoy it.

But Bros o, that PAYG for Etisalat, abeg put me through. Thanks

I adjust depending on how much data I'm supplied with. I can use 2gb for a whole month provided I dodge video advertisements and stick only to text articles. I can also end 5gb in one sitting downloading movies I'd consume for the next two days. It all depends on what I want the Internet for.

Normally I buy data from third party retailers at 1,100.00/gb(mtn). I also choose to buy BIS whenever I feel which puts me at N12,000/year if calculated at N1k/month. Since late 2013 I learned the SS thing enables me buy N100 BIS for 5gb daily. I was happy feeling this was the most cost-saving venture.

To my shock and horror after seeing this thread for a third year running I decided to sit down and calculate how much I've spent on my daily browsing. I've found out what I actually thought was the most cost saving mode of browsing the Internet has turned the most expensive. Buying data daily at N100.00 equals a sum of N36,500.00 as opposed to the meagre N12,000.00 I was content with.

Yeah, glo bis doesn't work on Samsung phones. I tried it some time ago to really confirm it.

I started the mtn 2,500 day and night plan for my blackberry from February this year till December making it 27,500. Around October I got an iPhone and I did the same subscription for three months which amounts up to 7,500.

Everything totals up to #35,000 that I've used for subscription in the year 2015. This excludes the miscalleneous weekly subscriptions I made when there was no money to subscribe.

Unfortunately etisalat stopped the payg for good. I really miss it for the heavy downloads. Me sef dey look for any network that offers payg, if u know any that truly works hola.
