Not necessarily a mistake. It's just choice, personal preference, peculiar qualities that spark interest. Some pretty girls may not want to marry equally good looking guys. They might fear he'll cheat on her, since if he can get her, he can get any other pretty girl too. Others do it for ego boost cos they love to hear how pretty they look years down the line married to a rich guy. Reasons are numerous mate.
