This thread is arguably the best thread on this platform... I have read some interesting things about this year's outlook from distinguished members which I have gained something. Well to add to it, specifically, this year holds a lot in stock for discerning investors. Last week I did point out stocks that would impress in the market this year. I still maintain my position on them.. More importantly, my advice to any investor or prospective one is that the target sectors in the economic blue print of the government this year should influence your buy or sell decision... In this light, cement, power, construction and agro-allied coy's are expected to lead the pack..I will advice you thread carefully with banking and oil and gas stocks(E&P especially). HNY |

manie:I just checked the so-called pastor's profile and found out that he had posted this trash on 24 threads in the business and investment sections. The moderators should do something about this guy, guys in the other thread may not be smart enough to detect a scam. As a matter of personal policy, I flee from businesses whose promoters call themselves pastors. 2 Likes |

ufotty2001:There is no hard rule on the number of stocks an investor can have in his portfolio, the most important thing is to stick to what works for one. You can decide to have 5 stocks, while another investor may decide to have 12 stocks, I currently have 25 stocks in my portfolio and it is okay by me. 2 Likes |

So, as I surfed through the net, i stumbled on a certain set of prophecies purportedly release by a certain Apostle S. of OFM. Amongst other things, the said Apostle was quoted to have prophesied a third word war(or something of that sort) between the US and Russia, to occur this year 2016. Not that I agreed or disagreed with his said prophecy. However, as an investor in Stocks, I cannot help but ask: Should this prophecy come to pass, what would be its effect on the price of oil in the global market and the NSE in particular. NB (Disclaimer) This is just a poser, and thus not a direct or indirect expression of my personal opinion. You are therefore advised not to refer to the poster as a prophet or describe him using any adjective in that nature. |

Mpeace: I will suggest you think less of impact of the impending third world War on materialism vis-a-vis world oil prices and stock market. The most important thing forthwith is your soul. Seek the face of God because the impending war will bring collateral damage to mankind. Pray fervently for God intervention to forestall that prophecy from manifestation. It is well 2 Likes |

What is the true value of FCMB? is its share price comparatively/relatively sinking faster because of deteriorating fundamentals or lack of Q3 result presentation. Any hope of FYE15 DIV? (Proshare makes money for you if you follow their advice in reverse order).... 1. SKYE. 2. FCMB. 3. FIDELITY. which will you go for? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Godisfaithful: 3:50am On Jan 04, 2016 |
ukay2: Sir, both investment are very good taken into consideration your long term view. But if i were you, i will take a look into a very good stock(with with decent anticipation of capital gains and dividend payment) which can be re-invested or diverted to the payment of such land instead of tying down the money on land with the hope of reselling it at a higher profit. And this upcoming earning season can help you more on that project if the fund is properly utilized on good stock(s). Remember, the final decision is yours. DeRuggedProf: Sir, if i were to choose one for myself presently, i will go for SKYE (base on today's price and its valuation)! Remember, that is my opinion and final decision is yours! "When you are ready & determined to win, nothing should stop you or distract your focus" ...Godisfaithful |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Coolcash1: 6:45am On Jan 04, 2016 |
ukay2: What is your risk tolerance. If you love to take risk, equity investment is okay but if otherwise just put your money on landed property. Don't forget that value of land does not fluctuate like that of stock. It always appreciate by what margin is dependent on certain factors E.g location, accessibility to major roads, etc. However, if you don't mind taking the risk, stocks of cement coys, fmcg, oil and gas can be considered. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by veecovee: 7:00am On Jan 04, 2016 |
ukay2:if you have less or no experience in stock, pls run away from stocks and buy the land, otherwise you ll regret at last. |
