THANKS BOSS I VE FIXED IT, NOT WITH THE SCANNER . WRITING IN CAPS FOR OTHERS WHO MIGHT BE HAVING MY TYPE OF PROB AND DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT

PROBLEM - NO AUDIO DEVICE IS INSTALLED ( seems i dont have a have a working default audio device aside from installed realtek )

PC SPEC - ACER 7800 (assembled )

I deleted my realtek audio driver , then the red x popped up saying i dont have audio device installed , i went to device manager, i saw high definition audio ( but no more realtek) and i tried disabling n every other thing, i updated d driver , bought a driver pack , formatted my pc , downgraded to xp , downloaded driver updaters all different programs, checked if my audio was enabled in bios but still no show

THE FIX - after downloading about three different reaktek audio drivers , i finally found the specific one for my pc ( note driver pack n updater couldnt even detect it ) , so getting the specific one is the problem and dont forget to click install anyway ones window notify you whether to install a hardware from unknown source ..

Now i have my sound back :-) Thanks Bosses

Glad you fixed it. But I am sure slimdrivers would have easily picked out the missing drivers.
Since the problem initially was drivers not detected. Hopefully others would learn from your fix.

Notice I used the phrase, "It could be".

Try a UPS unit that has built-in automatic voltage regulator, and see what happens.

megacruise:

Thanks bro, I will do as you've suggested even though I have my doubts if it's UPS's fault. Thanks a million times

I just solved a similar problem on my laptop. You didn't state what OS your system is running.

Get a Windows installation media, boot the system from it and choose "Repair your computer".

Follow the instructions to perform system restore. This would depend on the OS.

What type of system? Laptop? Desktop?

Does it trip off only when you are performing a specific task?

If it's a laptop, have you checked the charge-holding capacity of the battery?

Its a Compaq LAPTOP

It trip off anytime and anywhere....no specific task

and i dont think its the battery because it also trip off when on charging and when not charging

No overheating? No error message displayed on the screen before it trips off?

You may need to examine system logs in Event Viewer.

In the meantime, try a hard reset and see what happens. Remove the battery, disconnect the charger and any peripheral device connected to the computer. Press and hold the power button for 30 to 45 seconds. Reinstall the battery, power on the computer and immediately start pressing the appropriate key to enter BIOS setup (usually f10). Navigate to the exit tab, and load BIOS defaults. Save changes and exit.

Hi guys. I have a HP Laserjet p2055 printer in my office. It was supposed to be plug and play. Upon plugging it, it showed installing driver. When completed, the printer displays "driver is unavailable". I've spent six weeks searching Google for the driver to no avail. I've also tried "adding a printer" from control panel, that's one is not even coming up.

Can anyone help me? I use a Windows 8 system

Hey guys, I was given this HP pavilion dv2000. It is my first laptop and I don't know much about laptops... I was told it has 2.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM and 500GB space.
I just want to know if the laptop is OK and if it can accept the latest games.
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by shawlxAk(m): 6:55pm On Jan 05, 2016
Try Windows Update.

Have you tried to install the printer directly on the network?

Please I need help with my system.
Starting up is very slow and when it's done, it is not responding as it should. Opening a page or an application takes another long time!
I tried the start up repair, but nothing changes, instead most of my applications(Firefox, chrome, word etc) were not opening, they were displaying something like an Zoom error or so!
It's a hp mini laptop!
