Without payment or registration with EducationUSA, all applications from Nigeria will not be treated

That's serious. That means I have to prepare myself to visit Lagos. I called their office and they said I have to come with my transcript aswell. Without the transcript, they can't register me.

Please is there anyone can tell me the schools in da state that consider Nigeria as English speaking country.I mean those school dat waive TOEFL and SAT fo naija

I presume u are going for underG degree. Searching for schools that offers ur intending course should be primary, not the ones that won't request for TOEFL or SAT. SAT isn't a test for English proficiency and most schools would request this from an intending underG student even if they waive TOEFL and its likes.

So my advise, hop on Google and search for US schools offering ur course.

Gurus in the house, please can u help some of us deal with this educationusa issue regarding application into Minnesota state university. On the school site, they directed applicants from Nigeria to register with educationusa before applications are processed, but a couple of guys have actually gained admission without educationusa. Please advice. Some of us are really stuck.

Yes, once it is indicated for payment. The name of the card holder would be asked, the number on the card and the security number at the back of the ATM would be asked, that's all.

Never knew you can file on your own, does one need to make a certain amount of money to file tax, e.g $10,000 and above. Is it advisable to claim dependency if u re aged under 21. Thanks

I usually file by myself. You can use freetaxusa.com starting from today Jan 5. Good luck!

I just got to know that I can join this forum for free after being a silent reader for a while.
Please I have a concern and I want u to help me with a candid advice.
My wife and baby went to the US for Christmas in December but they have decided to stay and not to return back to Nigeria. They were stamped in for 6 months at the POE.
However, I have a US visa too which will expire in March this year, I have only travelled to the US once in 2014 when I spent just 10 days there and I don't really like to visit the US
Now that my wife and kid decide to overstay, and I intend to renew my visa via dropbox which will expire in March this year, wont I be likely denied a renewal. As at March which my visa will expire they will still be in the US, won't it hinder my chances of renewal ?
Thanks

@slimmy05,

Hope everything is fine? I know life activities can be more time demanding, mostly when you have family to be responsible for. Anyways, the thread doors are always open.

Best of luck friend!

Your visa and theirs are valid until the day of expiration. Anything after then, it just about centralized system to prove your family over stayed status. This will probably have negative outcome on yours as I assumed you all applied as family the first time.

However, the scope of this thread is restricted to study and US student visa only. First class help can be gotten by creating a thread on your case in the travel section. Best!

We applied differently. I got mine in 2014, she got her own in 2015 August, and the kid got his 3 months after her own. We never travelled together as a family. My visa will expire in march and her own with my baby will expire in 2017. I'm thinking of renewing mine, BT I'm afraid I can be denied.
Thanks

Embassy treats only official matters, your wife's decision hasn't been made official. But know that overstay will prevent your future renewal once it's official.
