Pls people should understand. The refineries producing dat amount of refined crude does not mean fuel is not scarce. The issue of rising petroleum price nd falling oil prices is not a straighforward one but a little bit complex.Someone even raised an opinion dat dose refineries might be running at a loss, which might be true...... |

tsdarkside: Yes....add the fact that building a new refinery costs lots of money and takes time to build.(Dangote's new refinery costs $9bn.....$3bn of which is his own money, the rest comes in form of a loan. Which he got because the banks know that they would get their money back in case of trouble down the road). I think we should build big refineries....but mini-refineries would help a great deal too. 2 Likes |

It's a great step forward, more news like this and maybe there's hope for APC in 2019. We still have a long way to go and Nigerians are not smiling, now that refineries are working, let's make them more efficient so we can end this dependency on foreign importation. Let those that call Buhari a dictator take note that this dictator might be the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria! |

Kyase: Lies, Lies, and More Lies. Portharcourt refinery loads only 20 trucks daily. 12 of this goes up north and the remaining 8 is shared amongst the local supplies. How does this amount to all the bogus figures being quoted. Where are the millions of litres going to? |
