Thanks missmalachi heard of that too, but appears scary to me. Meanwhile urs was from birth, my baby started that having it at 5weeks of age. Does it still apply? And any dosage? Is it bd, tds, qds, prn or otherwise?

He stopped sucking breadt himself and m trying to see how i can make him take balanced diet. Please what else can i give him apart from cereal and water as thats the only thing he is takingfor now.

I use president or oldenberg..any foreign butter sold in the supermarkets is fine. Someone also taught me her method. Get carrots, sweet pea, fish (titus) and potatoes. Boil the carrots, peas and potatoes together. boil fish seperate, de-bone and mash. once boiled, put the potato mixture into a blender, add the mashed fish, a little water and blend. It produces a smooth nutrious pudding. Keep in freezer. when you want to warm, dethraw the food, either use microwave or put a little president butter on the frying pan and add the food for warming. Tastes delicious. I also followed the advice here, bought basmati rice, boiled it, grinded it into rice pudding. Then I served it with either milk or my special stew sauce. Stew sauce: buy tomatoes, onions, pepper (shonbo-non peppery), beef, chicken and fish. Boiled all the meat and fish. debone and mash fish, meat. For the meat, I used my salad grater to grate the beef and chicken. Blend the tomatoes ingredients. Put on fire to boil with a little oil. when cooked, add the mashed meat/fish, including little salt to taste and mix. Voila -tomatoes sauce with mashed mixed meat. Its not been easy trying all the recipes I get here becos I work all week, take her with me for office creche and can't stop at the market on the way home lipsrsealed but I now a system of cooking her meals on Saturday for the week, freezing it and bring it out when I need it. Thank GOD for improved light situation. grin Please how do u boil d protein.

good day sabi mamas pls I need urgent help.i am just back from the hospital.my LO will be 3months on the 7th of this month.he had cough and catarrh. took him to d hospital and was given antibiotics and x ray was asked to be done on him last week.went back to the hospital today and he has been diagnosed of adeniod hypertrophy from x ray result.i was referred to ENT doc which I will be seeing on thursday.pls I am almost having high bo basednon this.pls can mamas here throw more light and calm my nerves.he is my first child.pls help.

Sheweezy and any other mama's, please let the banana start going brown before pureeing it. At that point of almost going bad, it tastes very sweet (all its natural sugars). Red apples are sweeter amd anything green, most kids hate them (sweetpeas, green beans, avocado). Which is why i liked that sweet potato-titus fish mix, i could smuggle the green peas in it. Baby E likes potato chips (and she has no teeth, she uses her gums to mash it and likes it as a gum massager) and her eyes light up when she sees Garden eggs (weird because I don't like the taste of it particularly). Meanwhile, all those Cow And Gate cereals drove her mad with vex. I think all babies don't like eating but get used to the different flavours and more importantly, textures, eventually. Just keep trying.

@sheweezy, there are baby yoghurts that you can get from wherever you buy your cereals. You can try that too. You can also mix it with fruits or other purees and see if your baby will like it.

It is well with your LO, read page 420&421. Someone also complained and was worried about same thing and i think other mothers responded. I dont know much about this but i know it is well with you and your baby. You can also read online and when u go for the next appointment, ask ad many questions as possible till you are clarified.
