alhajiwasiu55:You knew all these, yet you still came on here to ask for advise? I guess you were not prepared to hear the answers we gave you. Yea, the kids will go to school until college when they're asked to either produce a green card, US passport or F-1 visa. Anyways, your family your choice. Goodluck sir. 4 Likes |

How can I obtain F-1 or M-1 status? If you currently hold B-1 or B-2 nonimmigrant status and would like to enroll in classes, you may apply for a change of status to F-1 or M-1, as appropriate, if: You have not yet enrolled in classes Your current status has not expired You have not engaged in unauthorized employment To change your nonimmigrant status from B-1/B-2 to F-1 or M-1, you must file an Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status (Form I-539), and include the required fee and documents listed in the filing instructions. Please Note: If you enroll in classes before USCIS approves your Form I-539, you will be ineligible to change your nonimmigrant status from B to F or M. If you are applying to extend your B-1/B-2 stay and you have already enrolled in classes, USCIS cannot approve your B-1/B-2 extension because of the status violation. |

Changing of status from B1B2 to F1 is 1000% possible It is very possible to do that. All you need to do is go to the Admission Department of the University to fill application for admission and talk to the Admission Counsellor/Advisor. The admission Counsellor/Advisor should be able to give you acceptance letter if you demonstrate you have the financial ability to pay for your education. After proving your financial capabilty to pay your tuition, the Admission Counsellor will issue what is call Form I-20 which will then be forwarded to Homeland Security/Customs, Enforcement and Immigration Services for change of Status from your B1/B2 Visa to F1 Students Visa. It takes only 21 days to process. This has been done by a lot of Nigerians while I was in school. I have seen it done many times. I have seen Nigerian in their 40s did this just to remain in U.S because it is the easiest ways for many people to study or remain in the U.S.[/quote] |

alhajiwasiu55:Basic fact- From your post it's logically clear to conclude that the woman in question is not your wife and I think you're an 'agent'. You seem to know so much about the cosy life style in the U.S. and how to change visa status to F1 but yet you came here to seek help like a novice.lol Please before you push the innocent woman and her kid to the street in search of the comfortable U.S. opportunities from your euphoria standpoint. Ensure you tell her the truth - there's no state she can earn $500 per week especially as an undocumented person and F1 status can only allow her work 20hrs per wk. Good luck!!! 6 Likes |

wiseman2392: It's good to get all your document ready. Keep them in your hand-luggage or backpack not anywhere else . But I remember I was asked my passport (plus visa ofcourse), I-20, proof of sevis payment, admission letter, then they took my bio-data (basically fingerprint and snapshot). Getting your I-901 handy is also good. People should please check me on this |

Please does anyone know of any university that requires a CGPA of about 2.5/4.0 for Masters of Information technology. It would be nice if the university also accepts WES evaluation. Thank you. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by amanze15(m): 6:51am On Jan 06, 2016 |
Dot1: more than 150 universities are willing to get you admitted with 2.67/5 even without the glorified "WES" evaluation, if not requested of you to evaluate your CGPA, you don't have to have it evaluated by WES #fact the following steps are pivotal in you getting admitted; 1. take at least two standardized tests(TOEFL/GRE) to boaster your application 2. make use of the greatest search engine google.com to look for schools you have heard or seen. 3. contact them through sending them emails constantly, inquire from them anything even to asking if there are restrooms on walkways goodluck bros |

LUCAS99: Bros, don't you think its way better to backup your statement with some facts? While comparing Computer Science to other STEM majors may seem like apples to oranges, there is a simple way of measuring difficulty and its called the attrition rate. Attrition rate is simply a measure of the number of those who fail/dropout from that program. According to the U.S. Education Department’s National Center for Education Statistics, about half of bachelor’s degree candidates in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) leave the field before completing a college degree. You will find the report here: - https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2013/11/27/study-tracks-attrition-rates-stem-majors According to that same report, of those who leave STEM majors, "The attrition rate was highest for bachelor's degree candidates who declared a major in computer/information sciences and for associate degree candidates who declared a major in mathematics. Bros, you see am? In terms of those who dropped out, Computer Science is number one and mathematics, not even engineering, is number two. If you have any data to dispute the U.S department of education, please put it here and i will learn from you. P.s: I studied Electrical Engineering for my undergrad and I am currently doing an Msc in Computer Science, so trust me, I know what am talking about. I will not go into the complexity involved in computer science, just know its difficult. And please be aware, computer science is not just about programming. |

DanjaNinja: I have taken both courses and I know which is more difficult. I guess you are more of a computer geek and I am more of a math wiz. Regardless I don't want to start going back and forth with you on issue but since you believe that computer science is generally more difficult than Engineering, Physics & Math then good for you... |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by LUCAS99: 9:33am On Jan 06, 2016 |
DanjaNinja: I guess it depends on the state. Most students here including me were issued State ID based on the validity of their I-20. Their State ID only lasts for the duration of their program except Imperiouxx who obtained his State ID in New Mexico. Besides what city & state are you in? |
