on a serious note, dis man suposed to hv resiggned his position as reps member d day he was nominated as running mate to prince audu.
but who will question people who owns nigeria, people who think they constitution was drafted n passed into by them, people who ride on the gullibilty of the entire masses!
when atiku was been picked by obj he had to step down for boni, like wise when gej wa picked as yaraduas running mate he reelinquished d seat to timi sylva so he culd concentrate on the new position he was assumn. dont knw hw person go be reps member for anoda state n a running mate to a guber candidate in another state, where lies his loyalty?
Faleke can only lose his seat in the HoR when he takes another oath of office.

Faleke's political prostitution has really exposed the worthlessness of some of our political laws.

I long expected Ikeja constituency to react to Faleke's abandonment of them and opted to run to Kogi State to contest for governorship without a second thought on the promises he made to the people. It's sheer betrayal and blithe unconcern to the people he vowed to represent during his electioneering.

If our political laws are anything to go by, that singular act would have voided Faleke's representation - his action smack of irresponsibility, abandoning of constitutional duties for his personal venture in Kogi. He deserves sanction.

It is time we reviewed some of our laws if we are seeking a better governance.

The case of Atiku is different from this. He won the the governorship election in Adamawa State, and later picked as the VP candidate to Obasanjo. Atiku was a governor-elect, not a governor.

Obama was a Senator in Congress representing Ilinois when he contested the presidential election.

same case here my guy. he won election as a Rep and was picked as Audu's running mate.

Illiterates! Faleke can only lose his seat through impeachment or recall. As far as reality is concerned, recall is impracticable.

Why don't you compare it with a more similar case. In 2012, Hon. Seriake Dickson contested the governorship election in Bayelsa State while still in the HoR. He remained a member till he took the oath of office as Governor of Bayelsa State.

Awon ode, there's no law saying a sitting political officer must resign before contesting for another position. The only law that comes close is the one which instructs him to resign when sworn in for another position. Faleke can also claim the position of deputy governor is not an elected position but one hand picked by the governorship aspirant hence he's not violating any law.

He won't be governor. He will lose his reps seat.
Then he buries his political career.
Serves him right.

Why, the law does not operate that way, where is your precedence for such ancient application of the Law. We are aware that Senator Chris Ngige contested as Governor of Anambra State and failed but was not sent out the Red Chamber. Numerous others did so why must Faleke leave?

A bird, they say, is better than 2 in the bush.

Faleke's greed knows no bounds.

He will have nothing to show for it at the end of the day.
