Babes.. this has been my campaign all along, especially when I canvassed for Pming for info instead of dropping ceaselessly, then lurkers will just capture the info and get there before you, chop and clean mouth. When its your turn, you will hear they have increased price or stopped tking intl patients. At the end, na who be mumu?

Hello nefertitiram and anyone who has used Dallas Poe before , pls kindly share your experience , so one can prepare better

Thanks all for the help. Dr Fagbohun replied me already. It's okay for someone claiming oldie to throw subs simply because I asked questions.

I just didn't join this forum, bin reading up for long. I joined after I had my first baby, I have my visa not that am a newbie, not my first tym going in too.

It's a diff ball story when u just read alone to when u read and want to implement all what u've bin reading into actions.

Please don't throw subs to someone that is helpless and means no harm.

Some good pple sent mails upon my requests, God bless una kind hearts.

Sister no be soooo! The whole gist flowed from your disclosure that Dr F now asks for referral. If u have been reading the thread ul truly get the point. All these are info that are like san'san' all over the thread.
I agree sometyms the tone no de sweet, but (for u and future readers) take the message and leave the tone. The essence of asking people to research is to prevent the kinda fiasco @FTM posted and also for Doctor's to stop taking us for granted as in the MIHS saga.
Peace

I don't get it though.

Is it so difficult to quickly go to the US and come back? No shopping, nothing, look for cheapest ticket, go and come back. Max u go spend 300k.

Then like olokings said, it will be a true "letter of intent.

when is your interview? fill another ds 160 with purpose - medical tourism. fill in the contact info of your doctor and/or hospital. submit the ds 160 form. print the confirmation page. call the US consulate and tell them that you would like to change the ds160 form number on your appointment page as it has an error and you filled another form. They would ask you for your details, and ask that you email a scanned copy of the new ds160 confirmation page and your passport biodata page. email this to them and give a call back when you do to escalate. the new ds160 form no will be corrected on your cgi platform within 48hrs. print out the new appointment page with the new ds160 number and you are good to go.
This is assuming your interview is at least 3-5 days from now.
For further enquiry - call the consulate.

These kinda things are the things that make people vex and 'throw subs'. When one says I have read all yet one asks questions that have been treated. In detail. Several times. It feels like one is insulting other's intelligence.
Both options are available to u. If u have enough time, swap the ds 160. If pressed for time go as is.
However in both cases, u must declare ur intention and must have supporting documentation.
Read between Nov-December. Like 2 people asked this same question so u can follow what they dis and their transcripts. Can't rem their monikers

oh oh oh! i say make i answer first before reading the riot act but you have so aptly done that.
I remember when i joined the thread in part 1 just after the "tsunami" I read every single page. I have been off this thread for like a year and I still read all the way back to catch up. No be say i dey even apply for visa again neither am i even going on another missionary journey at the moment.
it is just pure simple common sense that if one wants to sojourn from your country to God's own country, one must do due diligence to get as much information as is necessary and one must not rely only on what another person sends as a reply to your inquiry because one might just fall into a gutter at 2am at night and no one will know and an avalanche would occur and you would be swept into the sea of never-return.
i don talk my own.

How about hospital? I have not gotten any mail from them despite my trials (Oakbend) but am expecting an aknowledgememt from hotel. Will these be ok with my acct statement? Or I shd push further for the hosp as my interview date is close.
Also, as i got my acc statement yestd, I discovered d address is diff from my present one, though the same State and town, hope this won't be a problem ?
Am sorry to borther you with essays pls.
I sense a panic in u that will not be to your good. When u start obsessing about lil things, u get stressed and that dosent help u.
If I'm not mistaken, u are ok with the dr's letter. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
Whose address is the same as that on the statement? People open accounts and move. Trust me, if the vo wants to verify u are the account owner, e no hard. That one no be issue. But if ur mind never settle, go and do account update na. So ur mind can be cool wen u de enter the interview.

Thank you so much for your quick response will do as you said, meanwhile my I chose to go with Dr F's letter as he has responded to my emails, but I intend staying with my sister in maryland because I intend leaving early because of my medical history before going to texas for birthing purpose and I already fixed accommodation with my sister 's friend in texas should I go with that or book a hotel accommodation for visa purpose, Thanks .

they got a pretty good logic that their argument.

its becoming too much of a coincidence, begining to sound more like a well thought out and pre-meditated crime.

at least, we should try and USE the VISA for a FAMILY VACATION before sending the hot change of intent.
that makes it a change of intent na abi?

buh then again, we trying to CUT COST and causing trouble for ourselves and others coming behind.

Good luck to us all!

In my opinion, if you want to go for birth purposes simply apply for a US medical tourist visa. Seeing as it is not illegal to give birth in the states, adequate planning and preparation would most likely result in a visa grant.
Also, I think it is best to just go with the document from the doctor/hospital that you are actually going to use instead of one you just contacted for POE purposes.
Honesty is usually the best and safest policy really.

Simple! Nobody should harass you on a medical visa. Or just get the visa before getting married sef! lol

What about us when don use our visas tire, renew tire. Come carry belle? Hian. Mae this door never close o! But serzly sha @FTM has a point. Use the visa. Pick a low peak period. Choose a cheap destination. Then truly change the intent.
Again we need to come up with other locations for birthing. Nobody has explored the Reno option somebody mentioned. Houston don tire for us o!
Btw a friend just birthed triplets in houston. Paid all her bills but used medicaid for NICU. 70k usd for 2 weeks. I tried explaining why she shudnt take it, she no hear.

@FTM share the transcript mbok!

Tennesse dey
Idaho dey
Rhode Island dey
Nevada dey
New mexico de
Arkansas de

USA has 50 states but no one wants to do homework. All the answers are on Nairaland, just come, collect expo buy ticket and jet off. Una don start with Dr. E, next thing the woman will vex close shop.

It will surprise all of you the info available in Thread 1. It's like the goldmine of information, some prices may have changed, but its a good start when researching.

Even Houston, Texas hasn't been scratched because sisters and bros are not willing to research. I only hear a few stretched doctors for Oakbend and WHMC.

E-Friends,

1. If you have access to Nairaland then luckily, you have access to Google. Quietly visit the websites of WHMC, Oakbend, HNMC etc that people have told us their Hospital fees are pretty straightforward and pocket friendly.

2. Go to the Hospital Website, Select or Search for OBGYNs that are affiliated to that hospital
3. Get the phone numbers of their practice. Honestly, you won't spend 3000 naira on phone cards before you have one, two, three doctors that are ready to send you correspondence via mail, appointment via mail and detailed breakdown of the Obgyn fees and other birth related fees.

In my case,
Appointment 1 - over the phone, then told the lady i spoke with to send an appointment confirmation through email. They were also willing to confirm all the estimates in the mail

Appointment 2 - I was told to log in to their patient portal and register. I did and the confirmation was sent to my mail.

Both were presented at POE to show the billing estimates I heard. In actual fact both Drs haven't been mentioned on this thread and the prices are within the popular range we see on this thread.

Caveat - please don't bother to send PMs as i am not good at replying them because of my busy schedule.

HNMC - Alaniz, Hulme, Duong, Fulton, Xydas, Ross, Campbell, Nguyen, Ndofor, Stern etc

WHMC - Amaro, Huynh, Sayegh, Scheiber, Torres, Vu, Webb, Rizk etc
