MduZA:Our 40% includes pastoral communities and self sustaining subsistence farmers, which do not exist in your case because you cannot take back your land. |

MduZA:Yet most of you are going hungry. ... http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2013/01/30/twelve-million-going-to-bed-hungry-in-sa More than 12million South Africans will go to bed hungry tonight. Though this country produces sufficient food for its population, skyrocketing prices prevent the poor - most of them urban households - from getting adequate nutrition . The hungriest people are in Cape Town (80%) and Msunduzi, in KwaZulu-Natal (87%). A five-year study by the University of Cape Town's African Food Security Unit Network has exposed a food crisis that constitutes a "death sentence" for many and which the government has labelled as "serious". It found that, in Johannesburg, 43% of the poor faced starvation and malnutrition. Researchers believe the figure could be higher. |

The foreign/white mining companies are making money so GDP can be misleading. The big profits don't reach the miners. |

muafrika: I have read this article before...if the very measurement can be used on your country ...the result will be 99% of Kenyans living below the poverty line...the measurement on this article was used based on European standard not African...the poverty lines in this article are diveded into 3 categories....if we can follow the commonly known ratings, your article says SA stand on 9.7%...all the3 poverty lines stated on this article are above 1 USA dollar per day..the headline deceived you poor Kenyan..lol..when we talk about poverty lines in an African context,it must be something below 1 dollar per day...it is not the case with your article,European standard... |

You think? World bank rightly classifies Kenya a middle income economy. (You'll have to check the data.worldbank.org page.) Yet unlike you with your bigger GDP contributed by mainly the mining multinationals, we are a service based economy. Most of our GDP comes from African owned SMEs. |

I do tell people that blacks are more racist than whites but they criticise me for saying such. Our own form of racism is the worst. Halt this beef brothers MduZA and Muafrika |

MduZA: He seems more worried about SA than kenya. If he puts more effort on resolving kenyan issues and leave South african issues to south africans. they know and undertand SA better than any other person. But we know whats behind his thinking, "let south african blacks chase away whites and see whether they can make it on their own" We know there is this notion across africa that SA is what it is today because of whites, which is wrong. white south africans built the part of south africa for themselves, they never included blacks in their planning. whatever you see what blacks are enjoying, you must know it was created by black government. blacks had nothing under apartheid. The massive high ways you see across SA, black government, new roads, new trains, electricity, water, housing, city expansion, black government did all that. with regard to land, the government owns majority of the land. 1 Like 1 Share |
