Given, fixture congestions affect. But that is why a team has a manager. To be able to manage all the players and their game-time in order to keep the squad fresh for the business end of the season. Moreso, that's why managers strengthen their teams in order to have sqyad depths. If after having squad depth a manager fails to take his players through the congested fixtures, then the blame should be on the manager and shouldn't be used as a cheap excuse to get away from an argument.
