Atouba: Dear Nairalanders,
I just bought my wife's car (RX 350 2009) last week and I used Hassrah as my Agent. I tried so many other agents here before settling for him when I found out his honesty and customer-centric approach to all my enquiries. He was the only one who took his time to drive down to cotonou spending his own money to go and look for my specifications and came back with loads of pictures without asking for anything in return. I tried many tricks to test his honesty and found out he was not only fortright but very knowledgeable about his trade. Even though I wanted to buy my own car and that of my wifr at the same time, I decided to try him with one first and when we got to cotonou, he showed experience and patience in taking me to all the parks until we found what we wanted. We got to cotonou quite early but we didnt select until about 4pm and I insisted on the car coming to Nigeria the next day since he had promised me a less than 48 hours delivery plan.
While I left him at Contonou, he proved his customer centric skills by giving me a call every hour to update me on where they were on clearing and delivering the car. He kept to his words by finally delivering the car at 11.38pm same day, keeping to his words of not exceeding 48 hours delivery plan. He left my place at almost midnight after a heavy dose of pounded yam and egusi soup( a token from my wife for keeping to his words).
Kudos to this unassumimg and straight man(despite a croacky voice). You have won yourself a loyal customer.
Well done! Hassan, very soon we go come get my GL when am back in Lagos. |

I need to state this even though its belated. Hassan delivered a 2003 Toyota tacoma for me in the 2nd week of December and I promised I will commend him on niaraland if after 2 weeks I do not have any issue with the truck. This was a truck we had discussion on for several weeks, he made series of visits to Contonou on my behalf and sent loads of pictiures to me. I initailly wanted a frontier but after some research online, i switched to a tacoma. My only concern with tacomas of this generation wast the rusty frame. After several discussion on the phone and telling him what to look out for in a very good tacoma truck(testing the 4x4, the gear system and checking for rust in the frames, the rear locker) before depositing( due to the high demand for these vehicles, you always have to be ready to deposit once you see what you want otherwise you might not see them the next day), we got one.
To cut the long story short, he called, sent pictures down to me and was insistent on this particular truck and after the VIN checks online i gave him the nod to deposit. I went to cotonou 2 days after to test and purchase the truck. As usual he delivered this vehicle within 48 hours(thats standard for him). We bought this vehicle for much less than what most people buy( a huge discount) based on his rapport and familiarisation with many of the lebanese dealers there and for a vehicle about 80k mileage with everything in perfect condition, its a steal. I have been using the vehicle regularly and aside from the change of oil and fuel filters and the normal servicing nothing else has been spent on the car to date. The car has been running like new and a friend of mine is in the process of getting one for himslf through Hassan due to what he saw in mine.
Hassan, Well done once again.
NB: We were on this search for almost 2 months and each time he saw a potential one we could buy based on my specs, he needed to rush down to the border to call me and send pictures to me so we could decide on depositing while he kept one of his boys to stick with the seller bargaining to prevent any other person from buying at that moment. We missed a particular Nissan frontier due to this back and forth. It was deposited for before he could get back from the border to deposit. Hassan, I appreciate the sacrifice. |
