awe2015:Go to your bank and tell them u want to make use of Form A for ur tuition payment, they will actually request for all ur documents both visa and the rest. The procedure takes like 2 weeks at most. That's what I used in making my own payment and the rate was 197 but my diamondbank charged me 1% of the naira equivalent |

olawoleolayinka: You can now send Money through Money-gram now in Nigeria..At least i know of Access Bank..But you would have to go to the Bank the previous day and fill the Forms as the service is only available from 8am to 8.10am..This is just a way of guarding against money laundering as we are dam dam corrupt in this Country |

Walspring: Yes ohh,That is the Policy..Infact you can only send once in 3months..I experienced it live not be say them say..The Lady told me immediately its 8.11am the service wont be available anymore..Those of us that wanted to receive Funds always waits for those sending out of Nigeria first cos of the time limit..MG is now being patronized at Banks because the exchange rate hovers between 196-200naira as against the official exchange rate 280 |

How is everyone doing? I have been following this thread from way back 2012 after my ND, but just recently graduated from uni with a 2.1 (statistics), I have always dreamt of doing masters and PhD in the US but as things stand now I don't know how that can be achieved. Though I have list of possible schools , intent of writing GRE and TOEFL, the first draft of my SOP and standby lecturers to write letter of recommendations, but my concern is how to pay tuition and other expenses as my Dad is a civil servant and Mum a trader and all bulk money they could come by is at Max #500-600k at the time of traveling and I intend to use NYSC allowance and side hustling to pay for GRE, TOEFL and admission processing. What sincere and honest advice can you give to help me achieve the dream? 1 Like |

ALT2: All you'll be needing is a Graduate Assistantship that waives your tuition & provides you with stipends that could suffice for your living expenses. Your 600k should do for flight and perhaps settling in. However, you'll need to ace your standardized tests and apply to the RIGHT schools. That is, schools in which you stand a chance of being funded given your academic profile. |
