jln115: FighterPilot: You still lose guys ! There are MANY SOURCES all over internet that state the JF-17 max radar range as OVER 135 km and they are NOT blogs. "The KLJ-7 radar has multiple modes and can handle greater than 40 targets, tracking 10 of them and guiding 4 BVR missiles to attack 4 of them at the same time. The detecting range for a typical air target of RCS 3 square meter is > 75 km; look-down-shoot-down range is > 45 km; range for sea target is > 135 km ." http://www.grandestrategy.com/2007/06/light-sabre-for-third-world-fc-1-jf-17.html I have spoiled y.our weekend again ! JF-17 radar has range of over 135 km. FACT ! PROVED ! . 1 Like 1 Share |

agaugust:You obviously don't know the difference between RCS and IR signature!! The RCS has been conservatively estimated as 0.1m2 by experts. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 1:12pm On Jan 10, 2016 |
jln115: I obviously defined the difference between RCS and IR signature, I educated you that IR is from the engine, and RCS is from the body size. I remain your teacher whitey boy with Zulu brain There is NO world recognized expert on estimating RCS, all those figures you post are joggled by private people in their homes and posted all over internet, speculative unproved calculations. The people who post all those fake numbers do not even have Gripen jet in their homes, you need to have the aircraft physically with you and loaded with weapons before you can calculate the RCS. RCS is so hard to calculate in reality that almost all jet aircraft manufacturers avoid calculating it and posting any figures, so NOW YOU HAVE TO PROVE the Gripen RCS from SAAB source ! Prove your 0.1 m2 claim ! Prove that Gripen RCS is the size of a small man, 0.1 m2 the size of a short slim human being ! Prove your claim of 0.1 m2 and stop embarrassing South Africa ! . 1 Like 1 Share |

agaugust:Thank you Agaugust!! Now was that so difficult? So the JF17s KJL7 radar can track 3m2 target at 75km compared to the PS/05 mk3 that can track a 0.5m2 at 120km!! Thank you for proving that the Gripens Radar is many many many times better than the JF17s Radar. |

agaugust: Stealth fighters like F22 and F35 have an RCS of 0.001 and 0.005 sqms respectively and they are both fat bigger than humans. Now my fellow military researcher is puzzled when I reveal to him that Gripen has an RCS of 0.1 sqm. Rafale has RCS of 1sqm. Do research. You told us that you are a researcher. 3 Likes |

. Let us see how far we wrecked SANDF, SAAF, and SAN this weekend ⚫⚫ "Delivery of SDPP’s started in 2005 with frigates and submarines and was followed by LIFT aircraft in 2006, maritime helicopters in 2007 and fighter aircraft in 2009. The impression by many was that Link-ZA compliance by SDPP acquisition projects would imply message exchange inter-operability between all these platforms. Disappointingly it was found that most platforms could only exchange information between similar type platforms ." Source: Year 2011 research/report http://www.argospress.com/jbt/article_abstracts/14-3-2-abstract.pdf SANDF Link ZA is an 80% failure, army, navy, air force CANNOT communicate with each other ! Even Gripen CANNOT communicate with Hawk, it can only use the data link Gripen to Gripen. SAAF cannot use the FAKE tactical data link to send messages to SANDF artillery ! Link ZA ia a failure, South Africa DOES NOT have a functioning fully integrated Tactical Data Link ! ⚫⚫ "Saab has a long experience in development of radars for fighter aircraft. PS-05/A for the Gripen aircraft has been in service since 1992. At present, the Gripen with PS-05/A operates in several countries. Reference customers include the air forces of Sweden, South Africa, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Thailand." http://saab.com/air/sensor-systems/fighter-radar/ps-05-a/ SAAF Gripen flies with obsolete 25 year old radar !! JF-17 has year 2005 radar, more modern than SAAF Gripen !! Photo: JF-17 Thunder's modern radar .

agaugust: In 2011, the link ZA was still on its early stages and now in 2016 is totally different. In 2012 most platforms started to be integrated into it and final stages were completed in 2012. Your source of 2011 is outdated and does not stand. 3 Likes |

jln115: Bwahahahaha Your source is the private opinion of a newspaper journalist, a South African Mr. Darren Oliver and he is NOT even sure of the RCS, he confesses that there are marketing exaggerations, meaning the RCS is mere speculations that vary from person to person. Thanks for proving me right with your own source " The Gripen C has a frontal ideal RCS of 0.1 m², going higher depending on angle, so let’s call it 0.5 m² to be fair and to account for marketing exaggerations." http://www.africandefence.net/angolas-su-30ks-are-not-a-serious-threat-to-the-south-african-air-force/ Please stop posting ASSUMPTIONS made by people in their bedrooms, we want facts here you dunce ! . 1 Like 1 Share |

DO YOU KNOW THAT GRIPEN WILL EVEN KILL JUNK FIGHTER ARMED WITH ONLY IRIS-T WHILE THE JUNK FIGHTER IS ARMED TO THE TEETH. REASON. GRIPEN HAS A LOW RCS WHICH IS ALMOST UNDETECTABLE. RADAR MEASURED IN RCS. http://www.angelfire.com/falcon/fighterplanes/texts/articles/bestfighter.html 2 Likes |

SANDF Link ZA failed data link = basic Inter-com device used in people's offices . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 3:29pm On Jan 10, 2016 |
agaugust: Do you even understand English? The man is not even asserting all the nonsense you are writing here. You are truly demented. SANDF has TDL, like it or not. Our gripens, hawks, frigates, artillery, Air defence, submarine and vehicles are now all Link ZA compliant and are now a unit. You are coming to us with an outdated trash and parade it as if it was written yesterday. You failed. Go and sleep. May I remind you that you have no TDL and we have it. Come with a 2016 source or either tell that man to write about TDL in 2016. 2 Likes |
