Assuming we were second in the league, you would have blamed it on Wenger's inactivity in the summer transfer window, calling it an 'idiotic gamble' but unfortunately for you we are top of the league.

Yes, and we did that by beating Man Utd 3-0 and Man City 2-1 despite our injury crisis.
It even becomes sweeter knowing that those clubs spent £250m and £156m respectively.

You have nothing else to accuse Wenger than what happened in past season details of which you are not even sure of.

After the Community Shield triumph, they said we should see who would win a title between Mourinho and Wenger come May, it was not even December and Mourinho has been sacked after dragging Chelsea to relegation waters, while Wenger has lifted Arsenal to the league top with the same players he used last season.

We must see each other come May whether they like it or not.

Happy Sunday. smiley

Elneny To Be Announced Today Or Tomorrow

The Egypt international, 23, has passed a medical and agreed a long-term contract with Arsenal.
There were initial delays over obtaining a work permit but that has now gone through.
Wenger stopped short of confirming Elneny’s move yesterday but admitted a transfer was close

He said: “We hope to announce a player in the next 24 to 48 hours.
“I don’t need to tell you the name. After that we will see [about other deals].”
Elneny will bolster the numbers in Wenger’s squad as they struggle through an Emirates injury crisis.

OP STORY: Barca look to the Emirates
Any manager wise to the workings of the market will know that good form results in unwanted transfer speculation, with even a club such as Arsenal no exception. With the Gunners leading the Premier League, the Express reports that Barcelona are considering a £50 million summer move for Aaron Ramsey.

Luis Enrique is said to be a "big fan" of the Wales star's displays at the heart of Arsene Wenger's midfield, while Barca could also seek Everton's John Stones for a similar fee as they are determined to "come back with a bang" after serving their FIFA transfer ban.

Arsenal might then step up plans to prepare for a Ramsey departure with a £52m double move for Borussia Monchengladbach's Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka (£37m) and Paris Saint-Germain's Adrien Rabiot (£15m) this month, according to the Star -- that's despite Wenger's hinting on Saturday that he is not worried about the size of his squad, given Mohamed Elneny's imminent arrival.

Ramsey has scored and assisted more goals this season than Rooney. You can sleep on that.

uncle pikabeau it was a gamble, now the funny thing about gambles is that if it works out, you look like a genius, but if it doesn't, it makes you look really bad.

and pls this is a new year, quit arguing for argument sake.

I already told you guys about Elneny about 3 weeks ago before others jumped on it cheesy

Unless you want me to feed you with rumours, at this point in time, my links have not given me any concrete potential transfer.
If I hear anything concrete (not rumour), I'll definitely let you know.

I would appreciate if you avoid making ridiculous accusations that can not be substantiated especially when you associate my handle with transfer rumors to Arsenal FC.

Chelsea is languishing 6 points above the relegation waters, United can not strike a balance in their offense especially in the final third and have been booed at home even when they win games, City have conversely remained inconsistent conceding goals, Arsenal is leading the pack albeit with caution and you wonder why we get the most publicity during the transfer window..the answer is not far fetched..

No transfer season is complete without the British media moving players in their imaginations to Arsenal FC, there are positions that need obvious reinforcement (CMF and CF) and the media would bite more than they can chew for monetary purposes considering the history of Modern Wenger, experience has modeled most fans to ignore these tabloids as Wenger is not going to cast his net deep into the oceans of the transfer waters, not this January...

Wenger is a very very patient coach and I want to stress the word "very" some construe it to be stubborn which might also be true but he never gives up on any player he believes in (Abou Diaby, Joel Campbell, Aaron Ramsey and now Jack Wilshere) these players have been written off severally owing to recurring injuries or loss of form and that is the fix we are facing right now, there is a huge argument within the organization if it's time to give up on Wilshere and move on, Wenger believes so much has been invested in the talent and he believes it would pan out well if we are patient, others believe he would remain glass footed and Wenger's patience would stall class reinforcements in that position.

If elneny's imminent transfer is successful I can definitively say that's all we would get this Janaury any other addition(s) might not exactly be mind blowing and if otherwise I would welcome and celebrate such.

Reinforcement or not, I would forever remain a proud and passionate GUNNER..
