[quote author=yemmight post=1349735]Bum,

Get yourself abreast with current happening in present HR. Get some info @ CIPM, update urself with current HRIS. If you are Graduate/Affiliate of CIPM, fine & if u are not, get exemption to start from P1 & 2 its just less than a year. With all these I bet you will get a desired job. HR jobs are always available in both Tuesday/Thursday Guardian. One of my colleagues will say that this is our time, I mean HR specialists. Get your CV updated. I can design a CV 4 u if ur CV is not properly designed. Sometimes CVs attract HR Recruiters.

Views,

Apply for redeployment officially to HR Mgr. There is no harm in doing that. You might be lucky applying @ the right time. It could just be the time their looking for an HR person or your application may be kept in view. State your current career status. Sometimes HR consider getting someone in House before sourcing from outside.

Gud Luck
please I want my cv restructured, can you please mail me on cbuzolilian@gmail.com
Thanks

No, its not compulsory to attend a study centre for your CIPM examinations. If u have a related background knowledge and can study ur study packs, u can still make it. But if u decide to join a study centre, there are stipulated fees you'll have to pay for d classes depending on your level.

Thanks

Damilola Dawood at age 26.......

It is 2012, Damilola on the brink of total transformation and a busy day for the Dawood's family, she watches with fascination and fear, from the cooking pot, to the food coolers and iced drinks all beIng packed into a bus conveying them to the campus.
it is her graduation ceremony and as the first child of the Dawood's, a big party is in place to celebrate her "1st class" [bsc economics], not knowing to the family it was a lie she fabricated just to meet up with the idea of being the daughter her family saw her to be.
Damilola a victim of sexual harassment from lecturers, from a 1st class potential, ended up as a 3rd class graduate just because she held on to her integrity and never gave in to the pressure even as lecturers failed her deliberately.
The sad day all gone, fast forward to July 2015, she had looked for jobs even with connection of the Dawood's was unable to secure a reasonable job. looking further she stumbled on our email address through our newsletter and sent us an email on inquiries as regards our online courses. she enrolled for Advanced Diploma in Project Management and after 3 months became certified.
she applied for a job in one of the leading consulting firm in the country and was called for an interview. surprisingly the interview lasted just 5mins as the C.e.o of the firm stamped her employment, call it a ''MIRACLE" and you might not be wrong but she went prepared enough.
Today she is the head of projects at age 26 with a huge salary and allowances, recently got back from sweden for further training by the firm.

DAMILOLA DAWOOD, she is now a proud daughter of her family, the incident of 2012 and her university days all erased
You are out there, looking to erase memories ever growing in your heart?, your story can be better of DAMILOLA DAWOOD.

.

1. If you have serious passion for HR irrespective of your background, you are good to go. Though you did not mention your background.
2. If the center around your side is CIPM approved, you should go ahead and ensure a study pack for intermediate is gotten.
3. I have seen people succeeding with totally irrelevant background and are doing well as HR Specialists but as I mentioned earlier you should be
passionate about it.

To answer your question, I'll tell u my story...
I'm a graduate of biochemistry. Somehow sometimes ago, I fell in love with the HR field. Started from Intermediate 1, attended no study centre all thru all d diets. I worked 8am-5pm, read 5pm-10pm at work, leave for home and read 12am-2pm, I sleep till 4am to get prepared for work the following day.

That was/is my regular daily schedule. I killed my social life, parted with all distractions.

Now I'm at d PE1 stage.
If I can do it, u can do better.
The end justifies d means...

There are several HR Software training institutes around. If you are fortunate for your company acquiring new software, u can have in-house training otherwise you will have to pay to learn it.
