dnacrystal: OMG. This was a write-up base on fiction. And I dedicate my time to come to this job/vacancies section daily to learn and be informed. So not fair, tell me which story or experience do I term a joke or real now. Fictional works should not be allowed in dis section. Cuz they term to mislead ppl. Thanks |

ehix89:My dear it might be fictional though, but it isn't far from real life...My hair is natural too and I know what I go through at work,on the road e.t.c. A male friend once told me I should just say I am broke and need money to make my hair instead of forming African lady. The truth still remains that Africans can't be liberated from mental slavery. My hair has never been healthier until I decided to stop applying chemicals(relaxer)to get it straightend like that of the whites. 4 Likes |

I guess the natural hair movement has not swept the nation like here in the U.S. But seriously even here you get odd comments from older family members about why your hair isn't "done", you get awkward looks and sometimes comments from coworkers. My besties see the growth I gained from not relaxing and tell me how long my hair would look now if I relaxed again (huh?) Going natural is revolutionary. Even for ppl who share the same type of hair & history to you. We are conditioned to believe that hair is meant to be straight, meant to be as Euro looking as possible. When u don't conform to that norm, it's gonna bring out those who aren't "woke", just be patient w/ them. I uploaded my first twist out to Twitter and a guy, now blocked, said in attempt to insult me that my hair resembled a sheep dog. LoL. So ignorance is everywhere. But here in the U.S. almost every commercial I'm seeing w/ Blk women have them w/ naturally curly/kinky hair. It's amazing. If naija isn't there yet, it will be soon... I hope. 5 Likes

daretodiffer:Omg. U must think you smart. Learn to speak like a literate and not a tout with vulgar languages. If u can let me educate you a bit. You have showed us good African hairstyles. God knows am more inlove with women on their natural hair. But it has to be kept clean and neat. Then to d point of educating you. In nigeria and overseas. In d cooperate world their are dress code. Dress codes don't rely on clothes on your body, but a full up and down having a cooperate look. For the men, good well shaved and clean beard and haircut, for the ladies cooperate wears and good looking hair. Even a proper combed hair is far better than d pix u displaying aside from d last photo. Hope have been able to convince you and not confuse you further abt d African hair heritage. Thank you #applaudise Don't confuse being a feminist and proud African with being stupid. Pass ur message like an adult. I only hope am speaking to o 1 Like |

The truth is that ur twist out night hv looked funny, u probably have a 4b-c hair type. Do what suits ur hair type, not what other natural hair ladies do. Their twist out may look like a nice weave, urs may look like u woke on the wrong side of the bed. So pls customize ur natural hair styles to suit u |

frakdon: ^^ see, ignorant ppl come with the territory. My hair looks like a Black woman's hair is supposed to look. Comparing my natural features to that of an animal is dehumanizing but I guess your parents didn't teach you that. Moving right along. 2 Likes |

yvelchstores: I agree with the ultimate crux advice: What works for one head of hair won't necessarily work for yours. Though curls in the "4" category are actually the best for twist out/braid out styles. Hair typing is kind of dumb anyway, strand thickness, hair density, & porosity play larger factors in how you should approach your hair than curl type. |
