@ bigfido n bisoye82, thanks for ur lovely response, let me re frame my question: if my doctor and my host are in long Beach can I take a flight to Los Angeles and take a bus to long beach. Hope there won't be questions at POE that u are going to longbeach why is ur final flight destination Los Angeles. @ all Biko ur humble response is needed her. Kisses all |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by vcole: 1:09pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
you can choose to arrive at LAX, its the same state even. Your flight itinerary really is your choice and the cbp officer would not raise eyebrows at that. you would continue your onward journey by road. You can book a car shuttle to this effect or your host(s) can come pick you up. It may have been a matter of curiousity for the cbp official if you were arriving at an airport on the east coast but even at that it would not be a valid reason to refuse you entry into the states if your intentions are genuine and declared and you have evidence of onward travel. iya01: |

iya01:When u fill your landing card, they ask for details about where you are staying. That is your final destination. There is no crime in landing at another location.however its only natural that a vo will/may ask why the turn turn turna journey. Then u explain. However it would be prudent to check the actual fare of uber/cab vis a vis the cost of flying. U will be shocked u just gave yourself stress for nothing. Then consider going back with baby and plenty loads and ngwongwo... @mamatukwas u no go kee me with that your hair qweshion . Try moderated size kinky. Why? It lasts. Gets finer with age. Can be washed and shampooed several times and dosent cut hair
You wont believe it, but this hair question has been bothering me for about a month now. @mamatukwas, thanks for asking. My problem is that my natural hair is too long for kinky, any suggestions, please. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by LadyGuinivere: 1:30pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
brokewaist:Again moderate size bob marley (not twisted) can do the trick. Use a natural color and good attach (expression) cos it can be rewashed. My nieces in america de carry their hair for 3 months. I helped them Wash and vaseline it and it was almost good as new . But it dosent have the same 'lastability' as kinky. Caveat: I no own salon o! 2 Likes |
[/quote NICS pple are big fraud. They did same to me and Dr E fought it out for me, I shared my experience earlier. Even after they accepted they did not attend the birth as they claimed, and apologized for billing so, they continued with their threat for the balance of service they didn't render. Please ignore their numerous threat and continue to pursue what you think is the right bill. 1 Like |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by donugapi(m): 3:01pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
yokus: This is why many Americans don't use debit cards... Credit cards usually have better user protection for incidents like this. Thankfully the transactions haven't gone through.. If it did, the bank can't protect you and you lose all your money... Just be careful where you use your cards. It applies to swiping POS machines as well... |

There is a liability protection attached to your card. If you report fraudulent transactions within a stipulated time frame, the bank bears liability for them and gives you a refund. This has happened to me with my bank account with WF and i was in Nigeria at the time, I called and reported, card was cancelled, money was refunded in 24hrs and a new card was sent to me in the mail. Surprisingly NIPOST got it to me in 7 days. donugapi: 1 Like |

Hello everyone, First of all, a big thank you to all the contributors so far. It has been really, really informative and helpful. I am a first time mum to be who lives in Europe but just on a Resident permit so i still had to get a Visa to the US. I leave for the US in about 4 weeks and i have booked with Soul Care and Methodist. (Thanks to you guys) Main Question(s): What is the Houston POE like? I haven't been able to see too many references, like actual POE interview transcripts (Im sure there are just cant find them). Also, any reviews on Soul Care? Please help! Somebody.. Anybody Thanks alot |

NanujayB: Keep good paperwork with details of your doctor, hospital and accommodation. Letters, E-mails or bills. Keep all documents detailing costs and any payments you make up front. Be able to give details of your finance and ability to pay all your bills. Have this ready IF ASKED at point of entry. Along with visa and passport. Then you should have no problem 1 Like |

mamadele19: So sorry about the refusal. Maybe it has to do with Dr. F correspondence. How far have you gone? I think you should reapply immediately thou. Go through your budget sheet and be sure there was no over budgeting or over budgeting. How far gone are you? What of your husband? Does he have a visa? If he doesn't, maybe he can apply with you as well. Talk to ladyguinivere |

Hello house...actually shame is catching me for asking this questions AGAIN. Yes I've asked b fore but the answers confused me. Pls!Pls!&Pls!!! Travelling next week, said I was going to HOUSTON during interview with proof of Doctors correspondence and hotel booking. Now want to PORT to DALLAS, but as we all know, doctors don't give correspondence nor prior appointment in Dallas till arrival. Now my questions... 1- Where would I declare as my final destination in my Landing card? 2- If asked why am porting to Dallas, how would I answer the CBP without correspondence/appointment?? 3- If I just decided to get an appointment with any doctor in Houston, how will I explain my DFW as the final destination....I'VE BEEN SO CONFUSED, AND TICKET IS ALREADY BOOKED. PLEASE HOW WILL I HANDLE THIS Ur candid opinion is HIGHLY NEEDED MAs &SIRs |

@mamadele19: sorry about your refusal. There must have been a miscommunication between you and the VO. The VO wasn't convinced enough with the documents you handed over to him which could have been a correspondence letter without a dr's appointment or probably the VO might have seen an error in the spreadsheet you gave him. For all you know, it could have been because you applied with your daughter too. VOs are smart and they can be wondering why she will have to miss school for your delivery purpose. If you want to reapply make sure you have a change in circumstance to be able too which can be applying with your husband and if your daughter is not too young you can leave her with your folks which automatically makes the family tie on wanting to come back to Nigeria. Good luck! @Phemas: Longest time... How's the lil one doing now? I still remembered you from your 99questions back then and also your book of life to the embassy... VO-scans through ,types types and says sorry maam blah blah and gave me the blue paper. Had all my documents handy, statements etc but he didn't ask for it Left there thinking loudly " what happened" hmmmmmn Throwing it to the house now, honest opinions and suggestions on way forward please. bigfido:She de fear to talk o! The truth is, I agree with you. Not because I know DR F or have any issue with him but because , the same way letter/notification of intent has been overflogged, in my opinion I believe we have so used the man, that vo's are developing some bias for the man. If we can remember , some mommas at poe posted about how the cbp muttered About 'the popular Dr. F' They say apply when circustances change, maybe try what Dammy said, leave your daughter and then change hospitals. Mamdele How much did u budget? How much do u earn? How much is at your disposal to spend? Because the vo sighted the budget sheet, please can u post it here mae the house use binoculars peruse am |

Apple19:As nef said, you can book a local flight to Dallas. You know those mean CBP's are always looking for the slightest reason for deportation. |
