Because she explained the truth during the course of the interview she was probably not made ineligible under 6C1. This falls under the "timely retraction" clause.

When she applies for the F4 visa class they will take another look at in-eligibilities. Even if she is ineligible under 6C1, she will be able to apply for a waiver and will be given instructions on how to do so at the interview.

Thanks a lot respected Visa officer, LagosNIV, for your reply . We were worried about 6c1, as she was censured severely during her previous interview before she was denied the visa. Even if she is deemed ineligible during her upcoming immigrant visa interview, we believe, she will get through the waiver, as i understood from reading other blogs.
The Petition Revocation notice which we received, just quoted that , her petition was revoked under the section 8.C.F.R 205.1(a)(3)(i)(I). It did not say about any ineligibility .
We have our parents in USA who are her legal qualifying relatives and who could file a waiver for her. How good , you think is the waiver approval rate considering a parent-child relationship.. Our parents are quite old, above 75 years and are sick and deeply depressed because of the visa denial of my sister and they are the ones who will be applying waiver for my sister, if denied.
Many thanks for your time and effort.

In one of the posts in this forum, the Visa officer mentioned that, the consular officers don't write "p6c1" on the immigrant's application. They just do a recommendation to USCIS and USCIS decides p6c1 or not. If that being the case, we should have got 'P6c1' ineligibility on the revocation notice, is it. ?.

If it's a stepparent that is petitioning then you will need to bring a lot of documentation of the relationship between your biological parent, the stepparent, and yourself. If we need more than what you bring, we can always ask for it at the interview.

VO'My first interview in the American Consulate in Lagos came up sometimes in 2002(i cant specify the actual month),the interview was package for me with a date of birth that was my actual date and month of my birth but the year was slightly difference(actual-1970 but 1969 was used cos the agent did give the information to the passport officer way back then,i just took my photo capture and due to desperation and economic hardship made me to joined the group going for a paper presentation or conference in New Orleans that year eventually we were denied visa.
Somethings in the year 2008,i pressurize my father who is a citizen in the U.S to help me file a case at USCIS in which the Appeal was approved and consequently i appear with another name and date of birth(just out of desperation and economic hardship),at the end after my DNA my visa was approved and was to pick up the visa up in 3days after. The second day after i was given slip to pick up my visa a call came in from America Embassy in which i was asked to return back to the Embassy to clarify some isuse relating to my approved visa. Eventually, my visa was revolked and after interrogation by the Consular and i acknowledged my wrong, he approved a Waiver for me and we pursue the first and was refused and the second that was file by a lawyer in the U.S and mailed directly to Ghana was also denied. Since then i had resigned my faith to stop pushing till September 2015 when the file-in my junior brother who is also a U.S citizen had filed-in for me since 2003 was approved and has my original names and real date of birth on it.
My present predicament is that since my past record is not too good with this alteration here and there in my previous appearances at the American Embassy please can you tell me what to DO on this new file-in that had just been approved in other to make my dream of living in America become fulfill.

Thank you

@LagosNIV

I have a question

Can an applicant have two immigrant petitions?

The case is applicant has a F1 petition because one parent is a US citizen however the queue for F1 is almost 6years. However applicants other parent is an LPR can that parent file a F2A as well since the queue for that is just 1year plus.

You can only have one petition on file - you may want to look at the IR2 as well though (child of a US citizen).

Yes, the attestation of birth from NPC should be sufficient.

All you can do is apply for a waiver from USCIS. If they approve the waiver, then we can move forward with the visa process.

There is no set period of time for administrative processing - it can take a few hours, it can take a few months. It all depends on the specific case and how quickly we are able to get the necessary information.

Everyone should take a moment to read through this thread in its entirety. You should also be able to wait more than 24 hours for a response. Don't ask the same question again if I haven't had a chance to answer it previously - it's a waste of everyone's time.

Good morning Sir, l dont know where to turn to again. I was researchin about my case yesterday when l saw new information about documents we will need to present. As an IR2, do we need to present the pettitioner's birth certificate and marriage ceritificate?
2, Do we also need NBI clearance and cenomar?

I have a vital question. My sister is currently processing her change of status in the US aka green card. She's scheduled to visit nigeria soon... I would like to know if She would still be able to renew her B2 visa in Lagos this feb, visa expires in March. Is it possible to have the other process on going and also have a visa renewal? They gave her a slip when she applied for a visa in 2014 saying She qualifies for a drop box renewal next time

Do I, as a visa officer need the petitioner's marriage and birth certificates? No. Does the National Visa Center and USCIS? I don't know - they will tell you if they require those documents.

And I don't even know what an NBI clearance or cenomar are... so probably not?

Adjusting status on a B1/B2 visa is a misuse of the tourist visa... You do understand that, right?

This is I think a Philippines. Cenomar is short for certificate of none marriage. This question is probably about an interview in another country

She already had the B2 prior to adjusting. She just applied to adjust barely 2 months ago. We just want to know if she will be able to renew it. Will she?

Some people can ask some very annoying questions. It is stated clearly.READ PREVIOUS POST BY THE VO,there you'll see answers to your questions instead of making him repeat himself over and over again. Its very annoying. When you have serious cases then please do ask for advice. But asking the VO when your visa will be ready, where is dhl office, what's dhl's office number. Are you people serious?it doesn't make any sense.I praise the VO for having such patience to even respond.
