Does having a mexican visa and stamp in ones passport, that was not honoured, increase ones chances of getting an American visa? @LadyG |

diggy4real: The same country El Chapo was captured. Sadly NO. Maybe a UK and Schengen visa will do or better still a genuine reason for your visit could also work out 50/50. |

@FPL I saw your submission on the other page about the refusal form being generic and the need to personalise it. I also saw the other guy's submission about us being treated in not so decent a fashion at the embassy. Whilst I agree that the wait time should be less, the hall bigger and more seats provided I have a few things to note about us being Nigerians. (Caveat: this is my opinion o !) People are generally percieved the way they carry themselves. This country is filled with so many young and vibrant fellows with no jobs. In desperation they look outward. And as we have seen on this thread, people look for ways to Hoodwink the vos. The result? We all are percieved as crooks. As my people say , when one finger touches oil, it soils the whole hand. On the other hand. Let's analyse our soverign and independent Nigeria. We exploy expats for reasons I'll never understand. The employers care less if their resident permits have expired. They use police escorts and sirens in our fine nation. When I land in the US, I stand in the longer queue for non citizens and I'm thoroughly frisked and questioned. No wahala. No be my papa land. However I land at MM airpoort to the hot arrival hall and guess what? I'm again in the long queue and the foreigners zoom past me. I love Nigeria and I am so proud of this country but We need to change our image. We need to have pride in self and country. Only then can our passports carry weight. Long live the FRN. 14 Likes 1 Share |

gaebliss:You are asked to reapply when your personal circumstance has changed substantially. Your questiin is not dependent on time, for egs a man earning earning 60k , unmarried ,with no travel history was denied in 2013. If he Reapplys in 2016 with no change in his profile, he'll most prollt be denied again. So ask yourself, is there any substantial change in your personal circumstance since Dec 2015 and decide By yourself if to reapply. |

Good day house, I was to go to US for a conference with some of my former colleagues way back in 2010. We all paid for the visa fees and dropped the payment receipt with the HR who was to help with the process. We were later told the date for our interview. Couldn't go for the interview and since then I haven't applied for a US visa. Now, I'm no longer with the firm and I want to apply for a visa. My question now is, for me not going for the interview in 2010, will it have any negative effect on my fresh application and when i go for the interview? Thx |

diggy4real:If I offer you a job and u never clocked in or worked for a single day, will it count as experience on your cv? That is without going into the debate of the weight of a mexican visa... |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 7:32pm On Jan 13, 2016 |
diggy4real:When u enter a country ,your passport is stamped upon entry and exit. They don't "just check for stamps" This is where we part ways. I deduce an intention to misrepresent. I'm afraid I have nothing to offer in terms of advice. 3 Likes |

, I greet you and I have been studying this forum for quite a while, and couldn't figure out I could really ask a question until just recently where I discovered I could sign up and ask questions. Yes, I am a professor of Internal Medicine from one of the Nigerian Teaching Hospital and I will like to ask u this question. My wife who is a teacher recently ( in December 27th, 2015 ) travelled to the US with my last child who is just 5 years old to celebrate the christmas with a friend of hers in the US. I actually bought their flight ticket ( delta airlines ) where her return back to Nigeria is supposed to be Jan 25th. Besides, she suddenly decided to stay longer during this visit, probably she planned to take longer rest. Her intention has been that she will spend around 5 months before coming back to Nigeria, she was given 6 months at the POE. Based on the above, I phoned the airline about changing her return data to May 2016, but the airlines refused, they said her ticket type does not support such lengthy extension. Since my wife has decided to stay till May, and she might have to forfeit her return flight, meaning I will have to pay for their ONE WAY ticket back home in May, 2016. However, I intended visiting her in a week time, right in the US where I plan to spend just 4 weeks. My question: Won't I have issues at the POE if asked why my wife and child still remain in the US and why she decided to forfeit her return flight. I hope you understand my question sir. Remember her i-94 indicated she has to return back to Nigeria around June, 2016. Won't I have problems at the POE as why she suddenly choosed to forfeit her return flight ? Thanks |
