SkyBlue1: Actually despite the loot he stole, Ibori did a lot of roads and bridges much more than any Governor besides him in Delta State. Give Nigerians, good road and electricity then you have won their hearts. We yearn for development. |

Ibori is a criminal. In a civilized society, he will not be welcomed by a sitting governor or anyone in Delta state for that matter. But, come to think of it, a lot of other criminals benefited greatly from him while he was in office hence the loyalty. He was a kingmaker and self appointed lord over delta state. I hope PMB is able to cut him to size before he spreads again. |

I think someone must have been mentally derailed or retarded to have celebrated a looter. Who knows they might be suffering from amnesia as well. People are suffering and dying everyday because of mismanaged and looted resources, and someone could think of calling a thief a “hero”. Why not just call the armed robbers and kidnappers our hero? Please shun corruption and stop celebrating individuals or organization that stole our resources. |

I have been reading your replies.. and the ignorance most of you spew is bewildering. Ibori as a man first of all came to govt with a lot of money. While in govt he empowered people including the celebrated billionaire.. ayiri emami aka bash oloye. These he did not do at the expense of infrastructure instead he localized content to an unprecedented level.on the issue of loan, Ibori made moves for a loan to facilitate delta states ipp.... and with hopes of building an indigenous refinery if it was approved by federal govt. The money laundering was as a result of certain transactions he supported... no body calls him a saint.. but he was definitely a man of the people and to a large extent kept the people close to heart.. that's why when his daughter rode her father's cape to contest house of assembly, she went I un opposed. An entire state can't be wrong. |
