I laugh when I read comments saying buhari will deal with them, did obasanjo not also deal with them before they realized amnesty is the solution? If the military are sent there, all the oil facilities will just be boomed, then we the masses will be the losers, remember it takes wisdom to remove the fly that sits on the scrotum...

You may be knowledgeable about other affairs, but when it comes to war, conflicts, and armed fracas you have zero idea of what you are talking about.

I will stop replying you at this point.

Whatever your knowledge is , Tompolo can't go to war with Nigeria.
The FGN is only concerned about loss of innocent lives, take it or leave it.

Do you want compare bravery of Boko haram with militants? There is wide difference because Boko Haram are so deadly that they do not mind to die will militants are so coward that they do not want die. I bet you slight attack on them by the Nigerian military, they will all disperse, surrender and flee for their life.

IPOB is in a legal battle with FG and non violent street protest. any violent conflict in the Niger Delta should be distance from IPOB whose method is by civil disobedience and not bombing. niger deltans who share in that method can join the agitation

Bros, use your brain. How did they fight the FG to a standstill in 2008?

Believe it or not, Tompolo right now is more powerful than he was in 2008. If you are not from ND and did not follow the Freedom Fight don't diplay your ignorance.

Tompolo today is far richer and has acquired more weapons than he had in 2009. Do you remember that Nigerian territorial waters has the second worst case of piracy after Somalia? Those boys can bring in a rocket through the waters and nothing will happen, that's what I mean by the means and connections.

How did they get their guns before? Their associates that buy their illegal crude are some of the world's most wanted people? Do you know the size of the illegal arms trade? If you have not witnessed war, don't yap about like a kindergaten. We are not talking about firecrackers. All those spurring the NA to war should be careful of what they wish for.

We are in a recession and you want to fight a war with an undefeated war lord who is more powerful today than he was six years ago. The small money that we should use to develop the country would be used to prosecute the war? What about our soldiers that would be fighting wars on two fronts? Or the humanitarian cost of the war? A country must always pursue the most viable course of action that will lead to the least loss of lives of its citizenry. Right now, a war with Tompolo is not that course of action.

-Lord
God bless you 600 times

Yesterday, Tompolo distanced himself from the attacks.

Tompolo is in a quagmire. First, the success of the ND freedom fight was because there were a lot of groups with shared objectives fighting concurrently in different sections of the SS. Now, it is just Tompolo, and, if he was fighting, his reason for fighting would be for himself and not the region, which means he would not enjoy the wide support from the majority of militants.

Two, most of the militants are already enjoying a massive welfare package and will be less likely to return to the creeks because of one commander's selfish interests.

But with that said, we should all remember that Tompolo has been receiving at least N1b from the government every month in personal welfare packages and defense contracts since Amnesty started in 2009. That is aside the obvious bunkering he has been involved in as a side gig.

Also, remember how he bought a war ship sometime ago? The fact is that at the moment, Tompolo has the money, the means, and the connections to prosecute a war on the Nigerian state without even been in the country. With the supply glut, low oil prices, and an army that is reeling from a challenging BH war, Nigeria will not be as ready to fight this renewed conflict as they were earlier under Yaradua.

But then again, Tompolo can't just submit himself to the authorities. The authorities have a poor record of respecting the judiciary. That is the quagmire. Once again, thousands will likely die because of the interests and actions of a few.

-Lord

in my opinion u started well but concluded badly. No individual ot group is more powerful than the state. By the time the military begin to shell the creek and pick up Tompolo all of u will be shouting rule of law. There is no breach of law in what us being done and statement coming from Tompolo now.
Again whose environment are being destroyed and degraded. The guy has made much money doing nothing at the expense if the niger delta region yet some people in the area see him as their idol.
thirdly, we should know that it not Jonathan that is there today but a military man that knows strategy and could be extremely brutal to deal with the people concerned. Infact Odi might be a tip of iceberg if care is not taking.

those that know those involved should caution them now and not to begin to attack Buhari when he retaliate.

Bros you are wrong in some aspect....

I once had encounter with one of those militant enjoying the welfare you claim....

The guy said that Wat they pay them is too small compared to what they usually get...according to him he said is 60k Abi 65k(this is Wat u call bumba welfare).

I ask him is 65k not better than endangering you life in the forest and you culd easily be killed...he laf @ me and said he is Evn more safe than me who does nothing.

He said even if they are arrested, that before you know the will be release back....meaning they have strong ppl in government.. ...

He Also said that while There money was never their prblm, that he culd see millions in a week.....

He said that even though they call them militant that they are well taken care of....

As he continue talking he said he is even regretting Eva letting down his arms, that initially he was not expecting 65k a month.

I was Jst looking @ this man...in my mind you are not doing anything, you didn't go to school yet u are paid for nothing....yet you are piss......

For him to call 65k for doing nothing I believe they were seeing millions....

The said he was actually from south ijaw......

That was ma 1st time of seeing such Ppl and even talking to himm......

I want to Also ask you!! You said this government has a poor record of respecting judiciary.. how do you mean?

Continue deceiving them. Copmaring d power of an individual or small group of people with Nigeria has a nation. No amount of weapon could those militants possessed that can make them to withstand d government. Mark it you will realise this soon.

Thats what this government has helped to do by challenging tompolo and thus disrupt our supply to the market. Come monday, the oil price will probably go up.
