South-east: Tension As MASSOB,IPOB ‘resume Protests Tomorrow’ by Nobody: 6:55am On Jan 17, 2016 |
There was tension in the South-East, yesterday, following the threat by the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra,MASSOB,and the Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB, to, from tomorrow, lock down the region in protests, over the continued detention of Radio Biafra Director,Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi-Kanu in court Kanu, who was arrested by the Department of State Security,DSS, on October 17,2015, on arrival from the United Kingdom, has been in DSS detention facility in Abuja even though the Magistrate Court,Wuse 11,and Federal High Court,Abuja Division had both granted him bail and ordered his release. In a statement by the MASSOB National Director of Information, Samuel Edeson, and IPOB Secretary,Ibem Ugwuoke Ibem, yesterday, the pro-Biafra groups warned the public to stay at home from tomorrow(Monday) as there will be massive civil disobedience, protests and demonstrations in the South-East and parts of the South-South to force the Federal Government to comply with the court orders. In the meantime, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has ordered security operatives to arrest any pro-Biafra element flouting the ban against secessionist protests in any part of the state. The governor, who gave the order in a statement by his Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Austin Tam-George, yesterday, said government will not tolerate any form of pro-Biafra protest in any part of Rivers. Tam-George said the governor had to reiterate the ban on pro-Biafra protests in the state following reports that some agitators were embarking on illegal separatist processions and demonstrations in parts of Oyigbo local government area. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/biafra-tension-as-massobipob-resume-protests-tomorrow/ 1 Like |

Suddenly, the criminals among us have become some person's role models. The perverted terrorist who does nothing but swindle eternally gullible followers only to expend the monies on some dirty pr¤stitutes in some slummy suburbs in Lagos will rot in jail, and eventually, in hell. You can curse the FG all you want, it is the worst you can do. Your previous early morning exercise routines didn't change anything the last time, neither would it this time. Yesterday, there was a thread regarding the beauty of Enugu, and we all admired it. Hell, it is one beautiful place. But if some useless miscreants, cheered on by some mentally impaired urchins on the forum, feel like turning the place into another NE with structures reduced to a mass of rubble, then they'd have it their way. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

OP change the title to "Massob and Ipod resume early morning jogging exercise". Warned them - for the ones that love themselves, they should not block Federal Govt Highway. They should keep their jogging to the roads constructed by their state govts. He who has ears, let him listen to what the spirit is saying now. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Well, i will advice them to do whatever they want to do peacefully without obstructing traffic and not disturb or abuse those who decides to engage in their lawful business, with this in mind, there would be no room or occasion for trigger-happy, good for nothing, ill trained and stark illiterate zoo police and soldiers to vent their frustration on them. As for those few ignorant posters above me, u can easy ur frustration tomorrow by adorning police and military uniform and shoot at the peaceful protesters. That will help ur pathetic situation. |

VANHELLSING:You realized that after Jonathan lost. Cowards that can't fight politically but want to go and form Biafraa to be the majority and lord over smaller tribes. If you are brave, compete in Nigeria with the big tribes not after losing election, you start shouting Biafraa. Play opposition for 4 years and strategize to get power at the center, but you know that is virtually impossible now after burning every bridges with all other big tribes. You are not going anywhere soon, you are partly responsible for the mess Nigeria is, until we clean it up, nobody will run away. 4 Likes |

The Protests even resumed since Friday 15-01-2016......... ,NAIJ.com LOCAL NEWS IPOB Members Call For Kanu's Release In Nnewi, Anambra. Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are currently staging a protest in the city of Nnewi, Anambra state. Arinze Esomnofu, Naij.com guest author and on-site reporter, spotted the protesters accidentially on his way from the bank. In his words, the group was requesting the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra and the mastermind behind the recent Biafra agitation. The people were singing pro-Biafran war songs in Igbo language saying “all I know is Biafra, where I belong is Biafra, give us our Biafra”. IPOB members are calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra. Nnewi, Anambra state, January 15, 2016. The coordinator of the protest that identified himself as Emeka commented on the event: “As you can see, we are few now. That’s how we always start every of our protest. But before you know it, we will be in our thousands.” A small-scale protest may become one in a series of outcries the IPOB has promised to organise unless Kanu is released. Nnewi, Anambra state, January 15, 2016. “As you can see, we are few now… But before you know it, we will be in our thousands,” the coordinator of the protest commented on the event. Nnewi, Anambra state, January 15, 2016. “The indigenous people of Igboland are in solidarity with us, they are always happy to join us. And I tell you today that we won’t stop till they release our director, Nnamdi Kanu, we won’t stop until Biafra is a reality.” “So you, press people, do your work, stop saying negative things of us to the populace. We are a peaceful organisation, as you can see this protest is peaceful and will remain such.” At the time of the report the protesters were in front of Saint John’s Catholic Church, with the intenton to head towards the famous Nnewi roundabout. Do you think this protest is just the beginning of the unrest all over the country? Nnewi, Anambra state, January 15, 2016. The pro-Biafran protests rocking the contry regularly last month have been slowly fading to nothing, in social media as well, until today as the IPOB members have promised to resume their activity on January 15 with the protests held throughout the country unless their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is released, IBTimes UK reports. Trapping:You are pathetic dunce. Politics in Nigeria and elsewhere has always being a competition, but your idea is that it should be handed to you on a platter of gold, due to your usual and legendary useless sense on entitlement. You thieves want to coerce smaller nations into your Biafraa nonsense so you can always be in charge of their destinies. You are going no where until we've cleaned Nigeria. Nobody will allow you to run away from the mess that Nigeria is, which you are partly responsible |
