SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE LIVING WITH YOUR ROOM MATES IN SCHOOL

We were three in the room though the guys were not just roommates, we have been good friends before we gained admission. I Invited them to come and stay with me in sister's BQ at the quarters. One has been my friend since our pry school days and the other guy we met during one of my church outings.
I don’t like to share personal effects with people no matter the closeness, things like, towel, tooth brush, cloths and most especially bathing soap.
I don’t use sponge since my secondary school days because it increases my pimples at a geometric rate each time I use it. So, each time I take a bath I must use soap . I always make sure I have soap in abundant in my room.
Unfortunately, my other friends hate buying soap but love using soap to bath. I advised them to take a separate soup but just because I do keep mine at the bathroom they would never yield to my advice. I always come out of the bathroom angry every morning after seen different kind of long deterred body hair on my soap. After severally warring, I thought of what to do.

I called my mum at home to help me prepare black soup (ose dudu) in a black container without any label . when I brought the black soap down to school , I called my friends and I gave them some warnings about the soap that it was specially and specifically prepared for me by a spiritualist and the instruction was that I must not use it with anybody . They all said they have heard without any argument.
To my surprise the following morning they all took their bath before me and lo and behold they didn’t even use the old soap that was left in the bathroom ,they all used the new black soap I brought from home . I was so angry ,that I didn’t talk to them for like two weeks . funny enough, all the periods they were using my black soap day and night . when I confronted them about these ,they apologised and said they only wanted to share in the good luck and fortune the soap will bring to me eventually and that if na to pass exams say dem wan pass too , that if na to get money ,they wan get too and if na fine girl juju soap that they equally deserve it . I gentled immediately. Anyway that was the beginning of using black soap in the room because it was cheaper and no need to see hair on soap again.

My roommates are simply lovely.... We were four in a very large room.
Rhoda,Ruth,Ruth and Regina..... I remember Rhoda for always walking around nude and the only time she'll have wrapper on her is when she hears that a guy wants to enter the hostel....And she always quarrel with Ruth......They fight and argue on anything and everything..
Regina is the igbo girl among us....I do enjoy the igbo meals prepared by her....She's kind of cool but tough is you ever trouble her or touch her things without her consent......and that happens with Rhoda.....
I'm the 2nd Ruth who settles any argument or quarrel amongst us, Says the truth when asked, peace and loving and the most cherished by my roommates that if I don't relate with any of them for a day, they won't have peace of mind..
Lest I forget the 1st Ruth is always talking about her boyfriend and she loves gisting....

a bad roomate can change one's life. a friend of mine who is so gentle and would never fight back even if you insult her was nick-named "the warrior princess" ask me why?? her roomate was always finding fault in whatever she does. my gentle friend could not take it any longer, so she jackie chan her room mate till the girl started crying for help. the beating was too much...... lol l know she is reading this now.

My room mates were always very friendly except one particular session like that, that girl was quite weird, it took the grace of God angry My room was always "everybody's" room in school, never a dull moment. Shout out to those of us who always got into trouble in school but never got suspended. It takes great skill grin

What I learnt in just few words... Best friends during the regular activities in school doesn't mean you guys are good enough to live under the same roof, if care is not taking that will lead to the end of that friendship. Just wait till both of you move in and you start seeing the monster in him/her as days goes by.

#Ojuri! But looking back today, I'll say bitter sweet experience.

I don't have roommates I have families cos we turned a large family once we started staying 2geda. it's three rooms and I have four naughty guys that would never agree to be wrong in any dispute. Kola is a gentle guy but talks too much, Yemi is a gentle too but at times his gentility always result mumuism lol, leave an olosho with Yemi you will meet her dressed the way you left them with no inch closer, Tobi is cool but doesn't have that yansh to sit at home he'll always find one hostel to visit, Jibola aka Lankie can walk the whole school in just 30minutes, you will never see him in the morning and would not know when he's back at night. we got to know he use to goan watch Playstation every morning. and me ehn. don't lemme talk about myself I sha know I'm the guru wen it comes to playing PES. I beat anybody beatable

Menhhh, 100L was hell for me in my room. I have this room mate who does not wash plates for complete 2 weeks. Sometimes, fresh bread will turn to cake after been decomposed. I could remember sometimes ago, this guy left a pot full of spagetti while going home, the spagetti turn green, from green to black, from black to water. If u enter our room then, u go think say na mortuary. The annoying part is that, whenever he wakes up, he will say 'Sexy mother fuckker'. American film don turn his brain.

200L was fun but crazy good room mates. Dem go luck me outside the room for complete 2 to 3hours all the name play play. Menhn sometimes, not just in the mood to play.

I don't know what to expect in my 300L

Lol... I'd really love to share mine...... I've had just two roommates in ma academic life... the first one was when I was doing ma diploma in uniuyo.... the nigga was gay, and damn it, I couldn't stand it... had to move to the hostel.. the second one has actually been the best.... I met him when I got a direct admission into Aksu(Akwa ibom state university) the nigga is just like me, I should call him God sent..... students would know the wahala that comes with roomies.... the only bad thing about the both of us is that we are both lazy when it comes to kitchen work... we'll both be hungry but no one would want to go to the kitchen and cook, we always end up eating in the buka, or preparing noodles or eat junks...

My 200 level room was fun in ways I can't describe.

We were 11 in the room, and each person was so different. It was as if we were selected for some kind of social experiment.

Everyday was dedicated to roasting one person, in the evening when we were all back from classes.

Oh God! If you weren't the one getting roasted, just enjoy it as much as possible.

There was no holding back, we would abuse anything about you from your girlfriend, the way you talk, cook, walk, your past, everything. That way, we rarely quarelled.

I remembered those idiots putting toothpaste in my mouth while I was sleeping. We'd share food, toothpaste, spoon, virtually everything except cloths, soap, towels... Football manager nearly ruined some of us then.

ETF OAU.

There was a so-called 'pastor'. Stingy.
There was a singer. Coolest.
A localboy. Engineer
A rapper/ibadan boy. Freestyler/hopeless romantic.
An old young man. Cool dude, even though he was older than most of us.
An introvert. Me!
A 'rich' bad guy. This one is rich but would still collect your indomie and garri.
A so-called holy boy. Tried so much but couldn't defeat sin lol.
A 'dunce'. Wasn't sharp.
An old man. Oldest but still tomboy.
Young pastor.

Mine was the best experience ever, when I was still in uniport I helped a beautiful fresher girl with accommodation as she could not afford rent as d hostel was full. So I said she could squat with me, o boi after 2 weeks of getting to knw ourselves see serious nacking. We begin dey act mojo everyday, we slept on the same bed even sometimes @ midnight she would wake me up so I could give her the thing. I had to find a way to let her leave as her sexual appetite was too much I didn't what to give her belle and I already had a girlfriend though not in school. I missed her after then though.

Roommates are good to have, they teach you more about life, how to control your temperament, how to relate with other set of people from different backgrounds,i was lucky to have good and mature roommates in my first year.your roommates can affect your life in the university positively or negatively if you allow them to.
