Jchi9876: A studio in a decent neighborhood in Manhattan typically costs upwards of $2,500 a month. If you're willing to share in a two/three bedroom, half that. A studio or one bedroom further from town in deeper parts of the Bronx or Queens could go from anywhere between 1k if you're lucky and 1.8. |

DeeTus: Not just only that but the major thing it does is that it help is saving unnecessary cost to register for English class Imagine paying over $180 for English class or 20 times of $180 for English class when you can register toefl for just $180.. Sometimes I find it hard and wonder how some people reason... |

Those that filled the DS-160 recently, did you actually upload a picture in your application or you skipped that part and went to the embassy with a passport photo instead. This new method get as e be. |

Alani55:Try uploading a photo, the application may or may not accept it. However, hold at least 2 passport photos. Goodluck |

Alani55: You should first try using that photo cropping tool on the site. Better yet, request for a soft copy at the passport photo taking center and if they also have Internet and computers quickly try to see if it meets the required specification with that tool. Something about the proportion of your head and its centrality to the entire frame along with other digital specifications. Mine worked after a couple of attempts. Best of luck! |

fizzile:I want to assume people are really scary of this Donald Trump and his policies. Imagine, after spending millions of naira running a masters in the US, now Mr Donald end up sending such individuals back to Nigeria. I'm sure people are a little putting a hold on further applications and they want to see if Donald will become the President. Some are already having Canada, Mexico and some other countries as a back up just in case Donald wins |

Hello Nairalanders, I have been following some threads on here and just decided to seek advise when now.First, the Donald Trump issue is quite something to be feared if we are truthful, the man could mar foreigners in there is elected.Second,is my issue.I applied for a B2 visa in 2009 to enable me attend a conference for where I worked back then but got denied.I won't lie that I was way timid back then and was asked just one question after handing over the invitation letter.Fast forward to the present,I'd like to attend studies for my Masters and already saw a school with Toefl waiver for Nigerian students and departmental waiver for GRE.Now my questions are,can I go ahead and apply for interview when the time comes without any of those tests? Should I atleast try the GRE?? But I wouldn't want a low score to spoil it for me as I'm a busy, young and married man,so my time is limited for studying these days. Thank you in anticipation of your responses. |

warriboy21: Don't be too sure about that. Better to keep an open mind. But that guy would be a big headache if he wins. |

harbeordun83: Is the sort of school that will admit you without TOEFL or GRE of any value? If it is a low ranked school then it's certificates may be worthless in the job market (even in Nigeria.) Then the money would be wasted. Also a low ranked school shows up to visa officer and sometimes leads to rejection. You should be checking these things before jumping in. |

Worry359,thank you for the response. So it means any university below 150 and above 200 is poorly ranked?? |
