How reliable is Nissan primera 2002 model

Ive used 2 nissan primera and i have no regrets. I started wt a 94 model whic i used for 3 years b4 l sold it. I only have to service and do general maintenance in those 3 years. The second i used is a 2000 model, it came wt a 1.6engine, manual and factory a/c. It was a very good and reliable car. I used this for 4yrs and all i evr did was normal servicing and general maintenance. I only changed d car because i got a good resale price. I hav no regret buying my primera. Its a very good alternative for toyota and honda, in fact more reliable than honda although not as stylish as honda anyway.

I agree with you. I used a primera sport and never had issues or regretted before sale to raise fund. Very reliable car, no holes in the pocket for fuel or maintenance

Wow. Thanks for this wonderful info. I wanted to buy one yesterday, a friend discouraged me saying the car consume a lot of fuel and itsnt durable and rugged like Toyota and Honda. Though the mileage is some how high (260,000) but I'll pay for it tomorrow.

To be honest, the mileage is high. The only dependency is to ascertain how well the engine was maintained. To me, a well maintained car with high mileage is better than very poorly maintained car with low mileage. That a car hasn't been driven much doesn't totally mean it is in good shape. A lot of things can put a rarely driven car in bad shape: bad oil, little or no routine maintenance, use of wrong parts or converted parts, damages done by quack kazeem mechanics e.t.c. Mine was a 2001 primera sport, very good car.

There is nothing wrong with conversion in itself. The issue is that, dealers want to maximise profit, so the focus when they convert is not to "do it properly irrespective of cost", but to "get it done at the least possible price". This creates a situation where most times, the car will have all sort of diverse issues due to the poor job done.
