A promise keeping president can never impress a certain people whose hero is the clueless and corrupt Goodluck Jonathan. For other reasonable Nigerians, we are impressed by the president's gesture. It shows we can always hold him accountable to his electoral promises.

It's a very big shame that it took Buhari 30 good years to reward athletes that put their lives on the line to make Nigeria proud. Some of those footballers are dead now. Buhari is not only clueless and incompetent, he's also a very wicked man.

How long did it take Jonathan to reward our different teams that were successful in the International scene. How long did it take even Abacha?

Buhari's regime was cut short by the IBB led military coup, thereby making it impossible for him to fulfil his promise. Since government is a continum, we should blame all the succesive governments, from IBB to GEJ for refusing to fulfil the promise.
