Young, Bastian & Jones out of Southampton clash! |

VAN GAAL'S INJURY UPDATE BEFORE SAINTS TEST Louis van Gaal has confirmed Manchester United star Ashley Young requires surgery on the groin injury he suffered during last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Liverpool. The 30-year-old winger pulled up with a problem after 40 minutes at Anfield and was replaced by youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. During an interview with MUTV at the Aon Training Complex on Friday, the manager also revealed Phil Jones and Bastian Schweinsteiger will not face Ronald Koeman's Southampton team at Old Trafford tomorrow. "Ashley Young has a severe groin injury, it shall be operated on, so he’s [out] for a long time," van Gaal told us. "It’s unbelievable, but we’re not lucky with that. Jones and Schweinsteiger cannot come back this weekend. You can count it and we have seven injuries." When asked about Borthwick-Jackson's impressive cameo at Liverpool and the possibility of him replacing Young at left-back for the foreseeable future, van Gaal was reluctant to reveal his plans for the player. “He’s more or less a very good player for his age. He has shown already that he can cope with the pressure but, with youth players, the question is always: are they consistent? One match or a substitution is always good, but consistency is always the question mark." On a positive note, Adnan Januzaj is fit and available for selection following his recent return from loan club Borussia Dortmund. The Belgium international improved his match sharpness on Monday evening by scoring two goals in a comfortable 4-0 victory as United and Southampton met at Under-21 level. “I think that he is available," the boss said. "He made his work in the training sessions and he has played one match, which is not much of course. He needs to play more matches, but he is available." http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2016/Jan/Team-news-MUTV-interview-Van-Gaal-provides-injury-update-before-Southampton-match.aspx |

I think CBJ deserves to be in the starting Lineup! The Lad has proven to be a huge talent, hence he needs enough playing time to develop rapidly! Also, I can't wait to see Januzaj backs in the Team! Don't really know why I like the Lad! But I strongly believe he's gonna do us proud, same goes to Perreira! I predict a win for United! Let's go Reds!!! |
