Having said that, i want to know whether gelatin feed[grower] and super weight are of the same protein percentage. If the [grower] is 60% crude protein @ 200 per kg, how do we ensure lower prices of between 150-180 per kg as canvassed by Soft777 in his Feed formulation discussion since the idea is to reduce cost of feed in order to maximise profit?

Again, According to an Article posted by Prof Robonski concerning adulterated feed and some popular feeds protein contents being lower than what their products claim, how is the quality assurance going to be extended to the distributor so the end users wont fall into the same sharp practices we are running from.

@Robonski15 and Soft77, I am beginning to think that the demand for the Gelatin feed is becoming higher than the supply, I have been trying to get the pelleted version in 3mm for some days now from one of the distributors in Lagos, he keeps telling me that his stocks has not arrived.

On the other hand, is the issue of the cost, we are made to know that the Gelatin feed comes in powdered form and we have to make it like EBA or AMALA before we can feed it to the fishes, for this reason am been told that I am to pay N25 per kilo for pelleting meaning on every 50kg @N10,000 I will have to pay N1,250 (N25 x 50), which makes the total amount of 50kg-bag N11,250.

I had once said it that some of us may not be able to use the EBA or AMALA form, since it seems we can only get the Gelatin feeds from the distributors, please try and make it available to them so that it can circulate to those of us reading testimonies about the feed, we also want to benefit from it.

i'm very sorry but i think this distribution path for lagos is quite funny. agege(abbatior) is the bedrock of agro products in lagos ( at least that i know). it is quite funny when people in sango otta, ijaiye, abule egba, ifako ijaye and environs are expected to go to ikotun to purchace this product when the production coy is in ogun state. pls kindly attend to this.

We have increased production to meet demand and also trying to find the right mix for pellet without altering its CP.

@Robonski kindly upload a demonstration on the use of the feed, I hope I will be able to learn it and teach to the person that help me feed them, because I also want to smile to the bank. On the N25 per kilo that is what I was told by the distributor, it is too cheap or expensive.

1. What are the guaranteed Analysis of the Gelatin feed outside the Crude protein. i.e
Crude Fat
Crude Fiber
Crude Ash
Phosphorous
Calcium
Sodium

2. For every 1000 fish, I normally use 60-65 bags of Coppen or Zeigler feed. Which is 900kg - 975kg. All bags in 15kg Then when using Vital or its like, they consume 80 bags to 1000 fish which is 1200kg
My question is, how many kg of your Gelatin feed will 1000 fish consume to 1kg and above market size. Thanks

4,MAGNET gelatin feed cost almost half the price of other conventional feeds out there...We all know even if you have a successful reared your fish to harvest and your cost of feeding is on the highest side ..that implies all your profit have been used up during production ...which we all know that 70 to 80 percent of production cost is feed...MAGNET gelatin feed takes care of that aspect with low cost and 0.8 fcr guarantees quality production shorter rearing time and faster turnover of your capital and profits.

MODE OF PREPARATION OF MAGNET GELATIN FEED

For now our magnet gelatin catfish feed comes in only powdered form ,cause the aim and reasons for producing this feed is to reduce the cost of production and same time ensure maximum growth of fish and weight .
Its a know fact that feed given to catfish in crude form does better with them ,cause the feed are in there crude or natural form and all nutrients are well preserved because it has not gone through any artificial processing by heat or pressure.
Magnet feed have been made with natural sun drying and horizontal mixers making all its ingredients preserve their nutrients and the crude intact.
The major reasons of doing fish farming is to make profit at the end at harvest and not how beautiful a feed looks like ,but what the feed got to offer to your fishes is what matters most ..

To prepare magnet gelatin feed to retain all its crudness without leaching is to boil hot water and take the quantity of feed you need to feed your fish for the week and add to the boiled water ..its just the same way we make our local eba or amala ..stirr it and its ready for your fish feed your fish 10 minutes after making it ...you can mold the feed in different sizes sun dry it and store them the normal way you store other feeds...next week same procedure on and on like that.

To make it float ,but first i must let everybody know the best way to have best effect is the hot water method but other method can also be used ....So to make it float ,we have included some expansion starch in the feed with extrusion properties so as to make it float when cooked for 30 minutes...
Put some water on the pot and add the quantity for a week feed..and cook it for 45 minutes,then mold it to your desired sizes and dry it on the sun for 24 to 48 hours depending on the sun intensity ...then it will float .

For those who prefare the pellet feed .yes u can go to your local pellet feed and pellet the powder magnet gelatin to your desired size .

HOW TO FEED YOUR CATFISH WITH MAGNET GELATIN FEED
For earthen pond users feed the gelatin feed by placing the mold feed in the most shallow end of your pond ,stick too the ground and they come there to feed .
You can also use the plastic feed pan method ...a picture of it was posted weeks ago ..place your gelatin feed on the plastic pan and the fish comes there t feed on it ...The third method is buy breaking the mold feed into smaller particles and gradually pour them a hand full after a hand full to their feeding spot , just the way you feed your fish with sinking pellet .

FOR CONCRETE PLASTIC AND TARPAULIN PONDS :
use the plastic feed pan method by placing the feed on the pan and fasten or tie the feed pan to a rope so it stays firmly in a particular spot on the water or you can use the third method described above by just breaking it in particles and feeding them the particles just the way you feed locally pellet feeds ..A hand full after a hand full.

Gelatin feed is a new type of feed and some of our fishes may be used to the pellet ones and may not want to immediately accept it ..For anyone with such observation ,what you do is to do a 2 day teaching your fish to accept t ,by adding your regular pellet feed which they were feeding on before to the mold gelatin feed ...As they peck and eat the pellet one they gradually discover the gelatin is a food also and they start to eat both ...after 2 days you can stop the mixture and give only the gelatin ...and they will continue to feed on it without problems thank you

To make it float have been explained in the write up and for the binding the protein used is high in concentration so to bind better you need dry properly..the dust is just the gelatin feed in powder ..so u can mold it with hot water and give your fish ..its one of the reason we stopped the pellet production we dont want to reduce the protein so as to make it bind...so we decided to make the quality of the feed at 60 percent we need produce only the powder for now...we do not want to compromise the feed quality by reducing the protein

From your evaluation, its sure when you use coppen you actually are rationing your feed to your fish because of cost ...let me explain something when feed is rationed ,fine trying to save cost ...but the truth is the more u ration the more your hungry fish feed on other fishes in your pond ..and carnibalism increases and this directly means you will loose lots of fishes at harvest ...This is the reason why MAGNET GELATIN FEED comes into play cheaper means you can afford to feed them more because the growth rate of catfish depends on how many time you feed them ...you do not expect a farmer who feeds 2 times a day to get same result with a farmer that feed 3 times a day ....but when your feed cost is too high ,many things comes to play ..1 FEED LESS GET LESS RESULT 2: FEED MORE AND GET HIGH COST OF PRODUCTION .....So how do u balance this equation in a way you feed more and still remain at the minimal cost of production...this the gelatin ..with MAGNET GELATIN FEED you can achieve both ... and be at optimal profit ...YOU WILL NEED ABOUT 750 KG of our feed to get to your same target ....costing far lesser and getting the desired growth and weight at harvest GOD BLESS.
