This is still a personal claim by mohamed cause mohamed authored the quoran and not allah. If allah wanted to confirm mohammed as his prophet he should have done so through supernatural means and not through mohamed himself because mohamed can't be trusted. That said, mohamed was far from being a mercy to the world cause he brought nothing but misery to it.
