Why Are The Migrants Not Going To Saudi, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar? by Super1Star: 10:14pm On Jan 27, 2016 |
It seems odd to me that the refugees from Syria, Iraq and Libya will rather keep pouring into Europe than heading to the rich oil states such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain etc. the worst part of it is that these nations have not even offered to take in any number of refugees!!!! Is there any explainable reason for this act of callousness by the other Muslim countries towards the refugees? I need intellectual reasons please and not religious bashing. 1 Like |

initiate: Really!!!! I differ on this a little, because I believe the intelligence community will be aware of such plan, if it exists, except it's an unconscious and subtle plan. I feel Europe should dump them on those Muslim countries that the refugees share the same culture and religion with. There will still be a major crisis in years to come in Europe. |

emmchi: If that is the aim, why is Europe being stup1d and unwise? I am just curious. Why is Iran not helping out, Saudi is there and they care less, likewise the other oil rich states? It's really baffling. If the refugee crisis was an African State problem, will Europe have been as magnanimous as this? Is there a law or principle or tenets that prohibits the oil rich states from helping the less privileged people from other countries? 1 Like |

It is heart warming to read you write a list of Sunni dominated Countries. Saudi Arabia in cahoot with other Sunni countries that have garbed the cloak of wahabbism are the major sponsors of terrorism all over the world. Dont expect states that sponsor terrorists to come to the aid of those who are victims of terrorism ISIS/ISIL/Daesh's terror camapiagn is precipated on blood dripping Wahabbi literatures from Saudi Arabia. Few months ago ISIS massacred Yazidi minorities in Iraq, claiming that they are devil worshippers. They are also fighting against Bashir Al Assad in Syria because, according to them, Alawites- Bashir Al Assad's sect, are not true Moslems. Over here in Nigeria, their stooges in power are bent on annihilating shiite. But we'v got bad news for them. Shia Islam has come to stay in Nigeria. Tell them to release our Sheik and other members of ISM that they have detained |

It's a plan devised to export islam to europe...Saudi Arabia alone has tents and temporary housing to accept all the migrants in europe but they refused to take them in..instead they volunteered to build mosques for them in europe.. |

KinkyAngela: I quite understand where you are coming from. However, if the Shias still go to Saudi Arabia for the mandatory pilgrimage, is it not only fair and just for Saudi to take in refugees irrespective of the sect they belong to, in as much as they are of the same faith, though they may differ in ideology. That brings me to another question of the relationship between Saudis and Americans. If Saudis and those smaller rich gulf states are sponsoring terrorism and they are American allies, why is America fighting terrorism then? |

Super1Star:The Hijra is one of the five pillars of Islam. Going to sites of the Prophet(SW) and his companions does not necessarily mean embracing the Sunni ideaology. As for Americas camaraderie with Saudi and other pro-Sunni Gulf state, it is a function of internatonal relations. The formulation of any countrys foreign policy is hinged on national intrest. The West wouldnt mind dinning with the devil as long as their own national intrest is protected. However, i think that the relationship between Saudi and the Yankees is gradually turning sour |

KinkyAngela: Absolutely right!!! It's just absurd that their ally or frenemy is the one sponsoring terrorists that are either attacking or threatening to attack the western nations. By and large, I hope Europe will not pay for their stupidity in the nearest future. Saudi and other gulf states are not good neighbours and neither are they their brothers keeper. |

KinkyAngela:That was a great post! I equally believe the Saudis are the biggest sponsors of terrorism worldwide. I wonder why people think the US is really fighting terrorism when on the contrary it is in bed with the sponsors and financiers of same terrorists. It is the same story with al-qaeda, ISIS and the moderate head choppers and liver eating cannibals in Syria. I just got this story about the Saudis charity work with refugees. I'd rather take it as mere propaganda. www.saudigazette.com.sa/saudi-arabia/ksa-spent-sr850m-for-welfare-of-syrian-refugees/ |

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia now hosts over 2.5
million Syrians who have fled their country
because of the ongoing war, with the Kingdom
providing work, education and health support, a
local publication reported Monday.
The Saudi government has been careful not to
treat these Syrians as refugees and place them
in camps, but have maintained their dignity by
providing them complete freedom of
movement, the publication reported.
The authorities had taken a decision not to
deport any Syrian residing on its territory even
after the expiry of his or her residency
documents. A royal decree was recently issued
to exempt Syrians for these violations because
they would be arrested and tortured if they
return to their country.
In 2012, a royal decree was issued stating that
all Syrian students residing in the Kingdom
would be accepted at public schools. According
to statistics issued by the Sakinah campaign, the
Kingdom now has more than 130,000 Syrian
students enjoying free public school education.
The royal decree emphasized that there should
be support for all Syrians deprived of education
because of the war in their country. A special
committee was formed to follow up on the
process, which was overseen by the Ministry of
Education with all regional departments.
Another royal decree was issued that saw the
establishment of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques University Program to help Syrian
students. This saw Saudi universities open their
doors for these students, which only required
that they should hold a visitor visa and
required academic qualifications.
On the labor issue, a royal decree approved
recommendations of a committee to allow
Syrians who entered the Kingdom with visitor
or temporary visas to work in the country. This
would ensure that their skills could be put to
good use.
On the health front, a royal decree was issued
two years ago ensuring that all Syrians would
be able to get emergency care at state expense
at primary health care centers and public
hospitals.
Recently, sources told local media that three
ministries were working on finalizing the
mechanisms that would allow Syrians who
entered the Kingdom with a visitor visa to
acquire work permits. These were the labor,
interior and foreign ministries.
The Saudi government support for distressed
Muslims include those from Burma, Turkistan
and Palestine. Each count for a quarter of a
Saudi worker, the report stated.
