Some people should be arrested. Weren't these jets advertised as capable of delivering precision guided ammunition ?

According to the manufacturer not the Nigerian Air force.

The Nigerians too need to learn to refrain from either calling out these southies or responding to their personal & irrelevant opinions.

Why would you argue with someone who believes a south african gripen. Light single multirole fighter (old version) is better than an SU 30mk2?

Like seriously, @henry suppose don pass that level

SU-30 has a high RCS of 5 sq mtr brother. That means gripens will see it coming from far before it can see the gripen. Gripen also has much longer radar range and low RCS of 0.1 sq MTR far smaller than that of man. Gripen armed with a BVR will send the SU-3O six feet underground irrespective of how large it is.

AARRGGGHHH! Nigga, enough already with your Grip, goddammit! Since moderation here is dead lets all agree this pic captures the Grips capabilities-please?

SA Grips have capabilities unknown even to its Swedish designers:
-photon torpedoes
-cloaking device
-warp speed
and continuous self diagnostics and repair!

Seriously, this thread now looks like this!!

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM RESPONDING TO ANYTHING TO DO WITH GRIPS!

why haven't we tried to introduce quadcopter drones in africa conflicts, which are cheap and do the same job like million worth tactical UAV. They are being used effectively by both sides in syria/iraq war

Army units including special forces squads use Aeryon quadcopter drones in Nigeria. We also use different types of small tactical drones.

Can you I.D the DMR that KDF soldier is carrying?

Interesting:

The South African National Defence Force has 900 vehicles in storage at its facility at Wallmansthal, with the vast majority serviceable and ready to go within 24 hours notice. Thousands of other unserviceable vehicles are in open storage.

This emerged during a visit by Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula in December 2015, who was inspecting the progress of 100 Cuban personnel in maintaining and storing South African military vehicles and providing training to South African technicians as part of Operation Thusano.

At Wallmansthal there are ten humidity controlled preservation hangars that can store 100-130 vehicles each. 900 vehicles are currently in preservation storage.

Of the vehicles in preservation at Wallmansthal, this includes around 200 Samil trucks, over 150 Ratel armoured vehicles, 100 Casspirs, 100 Mambas, two dozen GV6s, 20 Zebras, 20 Skimmels, a dozen Cavallos and 30 Rooikat 1Bs, which are unserviceable and are to be upgraded to 1D standard.

Which means that interestingly we have 19 GV-6's, 270 Casspirs, 340 Mambas operational (excluding vehicles "written off"wink... which clears up some long standing confusion

Africaken, you asked how prepared we(Nigeria) are? The federal government has now replied you with 2 exercises, one at Garki Mall and the other would be at the ICC (International Conference Center), all of them in Abuja.

In 2015 Nigerian Security Agencies ( Police, DSS, Army, Fire Department, Emergency services) held 3 exercises to deal with acts of terrorism at the Airports in Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt, and in the hilton in Abuja.

The G-6s are in Potchefstroom, see them regularly!! Always amused me when reading we only have 2 in service, when I've literally seen 6 in a convoy!!

Also good to see, the Rooikatte being upgraded....also how many Rooikatte do we have in service??Surely there can't only be 30 in storage ? That would mean we should have over 200 in service!!

Senegalese Navy OPV 190

Agaugust, it is vessels like these i have in mind. 8 vessels in a 50 - 58 meters size like in the photo, multi-role and modular enough to take on different tasks when required.

Nice one there. Sea voyage experts say that 42 m and 58 m vessels are all good only as MPV, so most experts now recommend 42 m as MPV, for OPV they advice above 80m for good seakeeping in turbulent high sea environment. Andoni at 38m is a good MPV size, but I think NN should standardize at 42 m for MPVs
