dicapino:Hello, From fall 2015, evaluation of transcripts has become compulsory, so I totally recommend WES for you. Our students from Nigeria have no problem whatsoever with their evaluation as it normally takes 3-4 weeks. You still have a lot of time to process this before the deadline. |

MrMann1:Hello, The New Graduate Fellowship qualifies you to pay tuition as if you are a native of the US. That is why it states "in-state" tuition clearly on the website. Believe me, that is more than 50% slash. 1 Like |

Natalia1987: Yes. You'll need to write the GRE and TOEFL examinations. As regards your GPA, if it's 3.17 of 4.00, you're a bit safe. If it's 3.17 of 5.0, you'll need to make up for it through acing your standardized exams, writing an excellent SOP, and getting good letters of recommendation. |

Natalia1987:First of all, you should thank your friend for bringing you here. Second, you need to take standardized tests and do pretty well. Have you got any research experience? It's also very important if you're looking for funding sort of. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by fizzile(m): 10:50am On Jan 28, 2016 |
Natalia1987:Well,first of all u need to set some targets. When do u intend going? What's your financial capability like? Cos u have to check for schools with reasonable tuition,a school that fits ur career goal aswell, except u want to attend a school where tuition is 30,000dollars per session. Set those targets, den search for some schools online, check their requirements, register for either gre, gmat, and toefl. Most schools waive toefl but u must write one standardized test. Be ready to either evaluate ur transcripts or send them directly to the schools. If I were u,I will pickout about 10 to 15 schools then check their requirements and check the course details then scrutinize very well and bring it down to about 5 schools bearing in mind tuition, cost of living, and a few other factors. Then apply to those schools and ur joni begins from there. These are processes one can do...so don't think of paying any so-called agent. I was in the same shoe but this forum really helped me. |

Natalia1987: Just get started by searching for good schools first. I'm not an Economics grad nor aspirant, can't recommend schools for you. You may find google, www.usnews.com and www.msminus.com helpful in that regard. Either ways, your choice of schools should be dependent on your GPA, prospective GRE and TOEFL scores. Except you just want to waste money. You could always send a PM or drop a message here when you need directions, you'll definitely get help. |
