I saw this photo on Facebook, I was not just inspired but proud of this young man.
Such people who know where they are coming from ,sure know where they are headed. No time for fake life. Such people should be kept as friends.
I remember my secondary school days,a lot of girls denied their parents and told lots of lies about their family background.
On visiting days, simply because their parents didn't come with cars and big coolers like other girls' parents, some will go into hiding and never get found till the visiting day in over. They are ashamed of their parents and the poor stranded mum or dad goes back home with the love which she brought for her ungrateful child.
A certain lady on this forum said her mum died while giving birth to her and her dad, days later embarassed..last year, her dead father is a high ranking police officer undecided . That is what fake life and lying causes you, you go lie sote you too go dey confused... cheesy
Why such despise and lie against those who brought you into this world?
Genevieve Nnaji in one of her interviews said 'I was not born with a gold or silver spoon, not even a plastic spoon, but today,I have bought a diamond spoon for myself'. Hardwork pays.
Denying your parents because of their occupation is bringing a curse upon yourself..you will keep living a life of lie.
Shout out to all hardworking mums and of course our dads...no matter your occupation,we are proud of you. kiss

[b]I am proud of my parents embarassed.
Even though my mama knows she shouldn't have given birth to me if she wasn't going to take care of me angry undecided.
And my papa knows he would have done better without her sad.

But here I am,bouncing and posting on nairaland cos they had that very fuccck to have me embarassed.
I still remember being in heaven on that day when my mama kept saying "Papa Nneka it's okay jor angry", and my papas only reply was "hold my head, odi ka I want to land grin shocked".
Gbam,, them born me cool.

Talking about their occupation, whatever their occupace be is still relevant till date only that it might have undergone name sophistication, like a driver is now fondly called a TRANSPORTER... Whatever it is or was paid their rent, built houses, bought me the coat of several colours I wore until I grew up to know that the thing in-between my leg is either a di!ck or pussyyy as it is called on embarassed nairaland angry
So I'm proud of them.

Let's face it,some of our parents failed us angry angry
By dying so early and leaving us to cold.
By being Mr. Okoronkwo and not Aliko Dangote.

But...........

Whose fault??

I dey tells u . can any river who mock its source survive d harmattan of life? I can't even pay them back fully......is it their sacrifices in form o 'food, shelter, clothing, protection, their goodwill, prayers, ma schooling n education, the bitter lessons that s making me a better person? n d freedom to choose my bearing in life? my pop once sacrificed an insurance manager job interview, a mere formality cos he was d best, cos of my school fees n never had extra dough to travel to d office. Na only God fit pay dem back ooo.

We were talking about those who deny their parents because of their occupation. Atleast you don't go about telling people your parents are what they are not ...or saying they are dead undecided

Peppyluv02,some students in your school actually dodge their parents during visiting days and those parents go back home without seeing them after making that trip?
Well what I'll say is that they will get the same treatment from their own children.

Very bad.I attended an FGC too and I know there were a couple of boys then who would go somewhere away from the hostels to meet their parents but to completely disappear and have the parents go back home without seeing them is the height of it.
I guess girls are more guilty of this kind of behaviour.

I never had to deny my parents. First I have never been in a rich school. My schools from primary to university were all public. Most parents esp in primary and sec level were basically the same on financial level. In primary, we were all shoeless even those with shoes refused to come to school with them to avoid being alienated cheesy
Secondary, I am proud of their moral upbringing. They were never accused of being thieves or anyother shameful act.
