PigeonPea is called "OTILI" in yoruba. I remeber in d mid 80's when SAP was in vogue & foodstuffs became very expensive 4 civil servants, my family had to start eating d cowpea. Initialy, we d children didn't like it, but we later love it so so much. I have not come across it again after I left home. Unlike other cowpea family, pigeon pea plant doesn't not crawl.
