writing the program is not the problem but storing videos is the problem

An application like YouTube costs millions, do not be deceived, probably 500-1000's of developers. CDN's, hosting, platforms and other little services you might not be aware of. Send me a pm if you have a project like that in mind.

As i said before to To right the program to stream your videos and audio is not the problem but the the storage is

AS a programmer i do know that every process is a file some temporary or permanent
if your dont know about this then you should consider looking for another work coz coding is not your thing

i dont know much about networking but i do know to build some thing like youtube here is the step you should follow:

1. you need mount your local drive to be able to access it over internet like 1Terabyte
and to do this the computer that is mounting it should be on 24/7 maybe that why google choose solar power
and here in nigeria i bet u not fit am nepa wahala solar stuff cost die

2. design your own database and your need a good hashing function so that you can get a video from your drive at O(1) time if your understand


3. Some multimedia library or design your own it easy in c or c++ which you will use for streaming

4. buy a domain name and point it to your local nameserver

its better you point out the features you need from youtube and start from one at a time. Youtube is massive, and you need lot of cash to develop such.

Nope, i just its a start up, their main audience are not those on radio and tv na, and beside the budget should be for just building the app.
Anyway am not arguing with you, am just curious to know why 10m for a start.
