What about priest olubunmi okogie? From my own personal view,everybody must involve himself or herself in politics. As a priest,he has done well by saying the truth. In this world of ours,people hate the faithful ones. His crown in heaven await him,his position on earth doesn't matter.

Mbaka is a holy ghost priest. He was made an assistant priest so he will have time to handle his adoration ministries and the burden of managing the church and mass will be reduced.

I'm not a Catholic and before 2014, I never knew the doctrines of the catholics. Fortunately for me during my service year, I served in a missionary school, then I tend to inquire more about catholics and I met the bishop of nnewi diocese when he came to the Parish my school was and met our Rev. Fr. In Lilu. I doubt there's any Rev. Fr. more committed and well known than mbaka. All Fathers in Nigeria know him. Wasn't he supposed to have being transferred when he stayed 6 yrs as stipulated, why wait till when he even used his personal money from musical sales and others to grow the church, yet he was shortchanged for critiquing. He didn't amass wealth for personal interest, else, he wouldn't have agreed so easily! It takes only a petty mind to think this wasn't political. There's politics everywhere but what the bishop didn't know his, even far away anambra where I served, people were trooping to adoration ground in Enugu, so anywhere u put mbaka, even in a hole, he would always shine and outshine others, some people are just like that. His travails are only for a while! He would grow the new church soon to becoming than he met it!

yes, it's a routine thing but Mbaka has remained in this church for nearly 20yrs or so. And special preference has been given to him as regards his ministry. The question is why now if not politically motivated?

If you know nothing about the faith.. don't spew trash.. He's been Parish priest for 20 years in the same Parish.. It's difficult to see priests spend up to 10 years as parish priest in a parish.

Priest in Residence isn't under the parish priest per say.. He's going to be a permanent priest in the parish.. Parish priests will come and go.. but priest in residence will always be there..

Trust me.. This move is strategic.. aimed at boosting the Catholic faith in Emene axis...

Fr. Mbaka is letting the worldly pleasures he enjoys in GRA distract him from seeing the hand of God in this.

Your prediction of 'calamity' for the catholic church is TOTALLY unfounded and unwarranted from this post, except you have another reason for doing so. What has happened to Mbaka is the church's way of testing the spirit in him to see if it is - or remains - genuine according to biblical instruction (1 John 4:1). Anyone may go ahead to worship Mbaka as God, yet God and the Church always looks far beyond immediate human sentiments. This is one basic difference between the Catholic Church and the rest. Elsewhere, hardly would anyone think of transferring - and even actually 'demoting' - such a pastor. And you can see, Fr Mbaka himself has obeyed - even while manifesting human frailty by saying "I'm going to suffer" and by recounting how much he has done to keep the parish (the genuine spirit of Christ must manifest humility) while you worldly people are taking it as 'calamity'. Brother he's right calling Mbaka a pastor.
Pastor is a Latin Word Pastors meaning The good shepherd. It originated from Catholic church and the usually uses it during the Solemnity of the good shepherd which means the Bonum pastor in Latin word.
Thou the the Chief Bonum pastor is Jesus Christ.
