Hausa/Fulani owns kano

Ijaw owns yenagoa

Federal government owns all resources. We Nigerians own the oil

Not true. Taking this action will only cause the international community to tag them as a terrorist organization. Any international sympathy they might have is lost. Once you issue threats like this, the international community changes gear. They don't respond positively to threats against innocent lives and property.

I dare them to blow up the vessel.

This is the world after Paris. Not 1999.
Stop comforting yourself.

The newest nation SouthSudan fought and killed for many years yet USA and EU supported their freedom.

This news is a welcome development because UnitedNation only come in to mediate when there is real crisis on the ground. They hardly intervene when there is peace and tranquility.

The news will further give international attention to our agitation, the govts of the expatriates will even get involved to mediate for their release.

The govts of the expatriate hostages may be ordered to talk about Biafra freedom at the EU parliament or UN assembly for their citizens to be released. It may not necessarily be Kanu release.

The west should not think they can incite the north against the east like they did before, this time around the entire country will turn upside down..Igbos in the west and north will remain where they are and fight back...so that the west will feel the heat too...no more coming back home to defend..there will be pandemonium. ..so west be warned.

If it insified in Buhari's regime out of hate, pls who is to blame ? Dat buhari came publicly to tag us 5percenters without fear to show us he is god of himself and he went ahead to give lopsided political post and u feel we shouldn't go for a project dat will do us a lot good than staying where we will be treated badly cos of being tagged 5percenters.

Do u know in a sane nation, d so called president would have condemned the killings of unarmed protesters whether u hate them or not, but no he feels he doesn't care since it's at the side of those he would love to wipe out. So, can't u see Biafra is the only option as a matter of necessity other than to destabilise Buhari's govt.

lastly revolution can rarely take place in nigeria, becos we r d people who love to live for enternity most in world|if dis agitation is from d north,i cn say it could aggravate more dan dis becos of high number of illitracy,bt in d south i doubt sir becos of they r futuristic in dere dealing and tinking|we all see hw people commit sucide here in north for nting wic cant take place in d south|i urge my brother in d south nt to allow army made edge over dem by using individual of dt region to test their individual firing power|so i tink buhari was silent on d issue of killing of peaceful protester becos e believe state govt and state apparatus r ontop of d situation|remember wht happen in zaria ivolving soldiers and shiites muslim|just imgine if crackdown could b oda on a muslim and people of d same descendant wit d president, wht will happen to d people of oda region|up till nw d president av nt said any ting abt shiites crackdown|pls let thread wit care as nt to allow history repeat it self|i urge my igbo broda to b vicarious abt wht befall shiites muslim and prevent a precarious situation |

This what you people seem not to get, you all depend on past glory. Odi was 1999. Do you think bokoharam will survive a week if we were in 1999? Look around you...In 1999 how many militants had AK47 rifle? They used hunter guns and locally made pistols. No militant had a single bomb. Do you know that in 1999 you can't easily purchase arms in large quantities? The okah brothers have bridged that gap now there is mass movement of sophisticated weapons in the Ndelta. The military knows this too. Yes you can defeat the militants but you will seek foreign aid. Yes you may defeat the militant but your economy ruins will be legendary. Do you know how much the airforce has spent on the BK ish in just how many months? Look it only takes a bullet to kill a man soldier or militant. If I have an AK and you have an AK the only thing standing between us is Luck

A false comparison.

South Sudan fought against the Sudanese army in direct and open conflict. They never kidnapped foreigners nor threatened to blow up foreign assets. Arrant criminality is never rewarded by international recognition.

If recognition is what they seek, they have made a serious error of judgment. This action is more like the FARC rebels in Colombia and we all know what happened to them.

It would have been better for the so called Ben to wrap himself in the flag of his "country", douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire aka the Tunisian who set off the Arab spring. Then he would have gained some attention and sympathy. But kidnapping an empty tanker and crew in local waters and threatening them with violence is pure foolishness.
