greenpasture:Stop comforting yourself. The newest nation SouthSudan fought and killed for many years yet USA and EU supported their freedom. This news is a welcome development because UnitedNation only come in to mediate when there is real crisis on the ground. They hardly intervene when there is peace and tranquility. The news will further give international attention to our agitation, the govts of the expatriates will even get involved to mediate for their release. The govts of the expatriate hostages may be ordered to talk about Biafra freedom at the EU parliament or UN assembly for their citizens to be released. It may not necessarily be Kanu release. 2 Likes |

The west should not think they can incite the north against the east like they did before, this time around the entire country will turn upside down..Igbos in the west and north will remain where they are and fight back...so that the west will feel the heat too...no more coming back home to defend..there will be pandemonium. ..so west be warned. 1 Like |

BayLord01:This what you people seem not to get, you all depend on past glory. Odi was 1999. Do you think bokoharam will survive a week if we were in 1999? Look around you...In 1999 how many militants had AK47 rifle? They used hunter guns and locally made pistols. No militant had a single bomb. Do you know that in 1999 you can't easily purchase arms in large quantities? The okah brothers have bridged that gap now there is mass movement of sophisticated weapons in the Ndelta. The military knows this too. Yes you can defeat the militants but you will seek foreign aid. Yes you may defeat the militant but your economy ruins will be legendary. Do you know how much the airforce has spent on the BK ish in just how many months? Look it only takes a bullet to kill a man soldier or militant. If I have an AK and you have an AK the only thing standing between us is Luck |

Princewill1: A false comparison. South Sudan fought against the Sudanese army in direct and open conflict. They never kidnapped foreigners nor threatened to blow up foreign assets. Arrant criminality is never rewarded by international recognition. If recognition is what they seek, they have made a serious error of judgment. This action is more like the FARC rebels in Colombia and we all know what happened to them. It would have been better for the so called Ben to wrap himself in the flag of his "country", douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire aka the Tunisian who set off the Arab spring. Then he would have gained some attention and sympathy. But kidnapping an empty tanker and crew in local waters and threatening them with violence is pure foolishness. |
