this is our country and not the country of elites,

All the people are asking for is conducive environment to survive and grow their businesses. None of the agitators are contesting for political appointment, their interest is their businesses.

finally, if you think military might can stop rebels, militancy or any form of agitation, then you have not learned from history.

Travel around the world and research, no amount of military might has successfully stopped rebels.

Let the government get set to waste money in wars, they will receive heavy-duty bombardment.

Did you ever think boko haram can last this long.

go and study history of boko haram, they got worse every day, esp affect yussuf was killed.

Fellow Nigerians. Wat shall we benefit if we loose other tribes or ethnic group?. For me we r one and one Nigeria is wat I will fight for till I die. Wats ds fight about SE and SS, y dnt we give our younger generation a better orientation instead of feeding them with hate and grudge. Militants in port harcourt did wat they did becos our security apparatus is dysfunctional, imagine wen many youths are unemployed or under-employed and we dnt have security. One million will go for recruitment, only 130 will be selected, is dat nt wickedness. We shud see it dat leadership is our problem nd not our diversities. Plsssss lets come together with love to build a great nation, Nigeria is great nd great we shall remain. Amen. I am nt Ibo, Yoruba or Hausa... I am a Nigerian

We don't share the same mentality with you people. Just because hausas and yorubas have investments there does not mean we don't want it to end. Unlike you people, as far as we are not the ones enjoying the oil and we are not getting any share of the profit we don't care. Common sense should tell you that there is no point defending ur tribesmen if they aren't giving u anything from their investments/loots
common sense is not common
Go to USA and learn their democray, bring it back and implement to the fullest and see whether militancy won't end.

all your points are from a biased view

This is a false flag by the military FG to confuse the world that Nnamdi is a terrorist. By so doing the court will have easy verdict on his case. Biafrans are not terrorists and their leaders should welcome the support of the ex militants and openly advice them to release these white people. And keep crying to the world to hear us. Having done all to stand, you Stand. The Sun will rise soon .

The land u r talking about has been been destroyed since by oil exploration.
Wait o! Does it mean that u dont know that vessels are not kept on land but in the sea?

Bubu & APC can now see how easy it was for GEJ cos boko haram...

don't deceive us with igbo presidency, that is nonsense, it seems you are not getting it, an average igbo man is not interested in politics his interest in his business.

all the Senate president /deputy/speakers/ministers are not beneficial to the common man.

what they want is true federalism stop beating around the bush …

you can not deceive every one.
let the government do the right thing and biafra will die a natural death.

as for wars, we will live to fight another day

A false comparison.

South Sudan fought against the Sudanese army in direct and open conflict. They never kidnapped foreigners nor threatened to blow up foreign assets. Arrant criminality is never rewarded by international recognition.

If recognition is what they seek, they have made a serious error of judgment. This action is more like the FARC rebels in Colombia and we all know what happened to them.

It would have been better for the so called Ben to wrap himself in the flag of his "country", douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire aka the Tunisian who set off the Arab spring. Then he would have gained some attention and sympathy. But kidnapping an empty tanker and crew in local waters and threatening them with violence is pure foolishness.
What is your point? Are you saying that the international community will tag us terrorist? If so,then u are mistaken.

During the height of Niger delta militancy,Oil facilities were destroyed, frequent hostage taking took place and many british and american expatriates died in hostage, yet they were not tagged terrorist by foreign media. Some countries even told Nigeria to dialogue with them.

FARC rebel is not a secessionist group. They wanted to bring a Marxist system of govt in Colombia.Their involvement in Drug trade made US and other countries to turn their back on them.Infact most illegal drugs in the US were coming from FARC dealers and from Mexico.Coupled with the fact that USA is a capitalist country, they would never support anything Marxist. So get your facts right!

And people holding an international crew hostage are different from people in the drug trade? Because make no mistake, this is no stand of principle but a simple shake down of a shipping company. Over the next few days, a ransom will be paid I the ship will be stormed and they will be killed.

Your use of the word "us" means you are allied to the cause and means of this group and you are not employing logic to discuss the actions of this group but rather blind faith. On that basis let us wait to see what this week will bring; recognition, sympathy or international outrage and military action.

A week isn't too long to wait.

I hate anything that has to do with boko haram, but their ability to stand one-on-one with soldiers and also knowingly kill themselves just to kill other people is also a sign of bravery.

Do you guys think the militants are illiterate they don't know the maritime law and the cost of there actions if they are to bomb the vessel buhari should not be a tyrant he should be wise Now before it becomes too late he should not let hate control his sense of reasoning. ...

You're quite funny! So you honestly expect Buhari to release Kanu because a bunch of misguided youths hijacked a foreign vessel and threatened to kill all on board? It doesn't work that way man.

I truly hope Igbo people get their beloved biafra one day but the way they are going about it,they are likely to suffer this self-inflicted injuries in Nigeria for a long time to come. Igbo are already politically irrelevant in a country where they are supposed to be one of the major stakeholders. This what you get when you depend largely on brawn rather than brain!

If those guys make good their threat, the consequences of their action will be unbearable not only for Kanu but for every Igbo man in Nigeria.

Buhari won't negotiate with those terrorists my friend.

Your comment is gibberish and it's a clear definition of who you are- a frustrated low-life. Why don't you try the rope-and-the-neck method instead of venting your frustration publicly?

What a pitiable life! You could not even coherently express your frustration.

Can't you see that you guys are not in any position to blackmail or threaten Nigeria in any form ? If a single soul is killed on board that hijacked vessel, your entire race will bear the dire consequences of it.

Secret talks to appease the militants ran into a hitch when they couldn’t reach on an agreement.

The new militant group, Niger Delta Avengers had in a statement through its spokesman, Col Murdoch Agbinibo had on May 12, issued the ultimatum to former Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Danjuma (retd), former VP, Atiku Abubakar and all the other northern elite who own oil blocs in the region, it was a weeks warning to shut down operations or they will have themselves to blame when the ultimatum expires and they are still there.

However, talks between the FG and the intermediary of the Niger Delta Avengers on ways through which the hostilities in the region will end has collapsed, meanwhile security agencies are already making plots to infiltrate the said meeting of the Ijaw youths today in Warri to enable them take collective position to effectively get on the Niger Delta Avengers.
