EA doesn't accept PTE. There is no time limit from thr day of graduation but main issue is that you have to write a 3 episode CDR based on projects you have been involved in.

You can write an episode on your final year project but you need 2 more episodes which would make more sense if they are based on your post graduation work experience even if its just 1 yr experience.
please I would like to get the materials you used for ur pte exams.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Can internship qork be included in the CDR cos I ve always been on internship during the holidays, 6months strike and the 6mnths SIWES internship all in the same company and I have some experience on working with PLC systems and a lot of different industrial automations installations there which I still remember due to the amount of work put in. Even my project was on some form of automation using arduino. So, can all these count in writing the CDR... Also, what did you use in your CDR considering you didnt count work experience?

I think your assessment outcome depends on the Engineers Australia assessor handling your application.

Some people with postgraduate work experience in good coys still don't get assessed as Engineering technologist cos their Assessor wasn't satisfied with their CDR so i seriously doubt if he/she will be satisfied with just your internship and sch project to classify you as a Professional Engineer.

I wrote my episodes based on my experience and backed them up with my companies reference letter as stated by EA.

I guess you mixed it up. I declared my work experience in both EA and Dibp application but didn't just claim point as i already had 65 points without it.

Ok. Thanks...I know what am abt to ask has probably been dealt with previously...but my problem is finding the page. So pls can you put me through the steps for the non sponsored/nominated Permanent residence or point me to a page where it was listed here?
Additional info for. Lawyers will be appreciated(if you have it) thanks again wink

1. Check if your occupation is on sol or nominate a closely related occupation that you can prove. Also check the quota percentage to know if you still stand a chance. You can search for occupations and assessment info on www.anzscosearch.com & Dibp site.

2. Write English test (PTE, IELTS, Toefl) based on your preference and your skill assessment body requirement.

3. Check your assessment requirement from your assessing body and submit your application providing them with the necessary documents.

4. Calculate ur points based on your situation. Info on this can be gotten under skilled worker visa section on www.border.gov.au just go through the site and you would see all relevant info.

5. Submit your EOI if you have up to 60 points and wait for invitation.

6. Lodge visa and make payment after invitation. Frontloading medicals, PCC and form 80 may help fasten ur processing.

I dont know any Lawyer and i dont think you need one. Every info you need is at your finger tip...all you need is personal research and also take time to read through this forum as well as Australia PR threads on expatforum.com.

PR application is treated on a personal basis and no lawyer or agent can guarantee you the visa. Just do the right thing and u will get it.

It is very possible to write CDR based on undergraduate work and still get positive outcome in the assessment, although it may be difficult to write but with little guidance it will fly.

I know its very possible but why i was skeptical about it is because the people i've seen scale through with this are mainly the Asians especially the Indians and its probably because their undergraduate engineering study is more intensive than ours with more quality school project to prove their competency. Like someone said, through a stone in a crowd of people in India 5 times and you should be sure it would hit engineer at least once smiley

Those guys too like engineering and are being taught intensively and undergo more rigorously research(es)...remember the Theraja & Rajput engineering textbooks we used during our undergraduate days.

I agree with you. However, the people that I mentioned are Nigerians who I personally mentored and put through in this. As a matter of fact, fresh graduates without experience are all welcome provided that they can work.

Thhank you so much. You have been most helpful. What I meant really was if you know any Nigerian lawyer that has successfully migrated under PR. I checked d SLAA's requirements for the admission of foreign lawyers and the IELTS requirement is staggering a band of 8....and writing must be 8. God save my dear soul with d kind of examiners I hear they have at British council cry

I don't know anyone but i think its pretty lengthy and the requirements are high. NNBB2012 posted a pomsinoz thread link sometimes ago when someone else asked a similar question.

Please chetaRay and others who paid to IOM through their Nigerian bank account I need your help.

They gave me their Nigerian bank account to pay in, but at the bank I was told that the account can not receive the lump sum of money I want to pay for the flight ticket, that they were only instructed to receive payments for medicals only. Could you guys confirm if this is the account number you paid into? See below:

Saw your post with NNB12. I asked the same question on expat forum and the first reply said that he/she got his positive accessment with cdr from episodes from undergraduate work.
www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/975018-can-i-get-positive-accessment-ea-my-situation.html#post9317106

Also, I had some practical training during my internship alongside work, and the MD is also a family friend if I will need any form of reference. I am just trying to strategize my plans as I don't want to waste money unnecessarily.
